£300 K P/Week for Saka.

WOW! Just WOW!

Lads completely fallen off a cliff, is an injury prone nightmare, and Arsenal go do that. 🤦‍♂️
We gave Gakpo a 250k base so we can't say we are any better. Also I wouldnt judge any forward in that Arteta line-up as the poor lad is clearly their best forward and has to work around Pulisball tactics.

Aside from you being well off with his salary, do know where Gakpo stands in our list of G/A’s this year?

In the same breath as announcing Saka’s £300k extension, Arsenal are increasing their season tickets by 4%. In the same announcement they may have given themselves the kiss of death by saying "as we make progress towards winning major trophies" 🤦‍♂️

Absolute no-mark, S house club.

Just going by capology records then again I've just looked again and Gakpo is one of the few on their not verified but you wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhere along the benchmarks as it's line with the rest of the forward line. Mind you Ekitike agent has played a blinder.

He was signed on £120 K P/W. Which got upped to, dependent on reports, anywhere from £180-200 K P/W when he extended last year. But I’d be very surprise if it was nearer the 200 mark as there’s only Mo and Virgil over that.

He’s currently joint 4th with Wirtz this season on G/A with 12. (7 G/ 5 A.). He’s running at a G/A every 2.4 games: 162 games/ 66 G/A. (48 Goals/ 18 Assists.). For someone who’s essentially a rotational piece, who’s currently the main man on the left given Rio’s inexperience, those aren’t bad numbers at all. And the salary matches that. He’s been frustrating as all heck this year at times.Still don’t see him as a winger as he hasn’t the pace to go outside. And it gets predictable like Mo coming inside all the time. But some of the on-line criticism has been way OTT. He’s not been that different to any other year he’s been here. Just every single negative has been highlighted and blown out of all proportions

I really don’t see any analogy comparison in Saka who is Arsenal’s main man. 🤷‍♂️ The comparison there would be Salah surely?

ALWAYS the Bridesmaid!
It makes me even more mad as to how we let these bottlejobs anywhere near a title charge. I still think they do it, as City are so bad by any standards that Arsenal will probably limp over the line when they should honestly be 10 points clear.

You know what I dont get about Arteta's Pulisball tactics is that, yes, trying to gain the margins from corners and time wasting and being nasty to play against is understandable, as I have seen it before many times. However, even the most fervent fan will tell you that sitting back and not pressing the advantage against relegation fodder or lower league teams, despite how good your defence is, will just inevitably invite trouble.

Id understand not having the players or trying to manage the first team 11, but when you comfortably have the best squad in the league its absurd to play this way, especially when they have the quality in the side to play decent football.
