288-2 at time of writing. The Wall known as Alistair Cook is still in and on another hundred. He and Trott put on 173 so they put on a total of over 500 between wickets for Australia. lmao. Pietersen on 70 odd.

England could get a massive lead here.

Australia...jeez...how depressing.

Can't win the series if we can't get anyone out.

this looks great, surely we can't lose this from the position we're in :P

More excellent batting. Alistair Cook is superman.

Oh God, don't even mock it. It's far too painful. :P

Well done Cooky! Sterling support work from Trott and Pietersen (he's back!) as well.

Dont be so hard on yourselves! You have doubled the number of wickets you have since last innings! :P

Some awesome stats for England and Cooky:

1023 minutes without dismissal for Alistair Cook. That is 17 hours 3 minutes! Fooking ****.
He averages over 430 this series. Fooking ****!
England are 834-3 in the last 2 innings.

I do admire Alistair Cook.

Just quietly goes about his business, but is amassing unbelievable stats. Good on him.

Australia....GRRRRR

Alastair Cook has been on the field of play for all but 11 overs in the whole series so far after he got out in the first innings in the first test

Well played Cooky changed that awful moving across his stumps from last summer, and KP, well now he is playng straight and hitting the ball with amazing timing, both to go on and get big big scores for us.

KP take a bow son, and welcome back,

we have missed you :) not in a way as in needed, as in just missed your ability in our world class side!

And Alistair you are a legend! hopefully just after i post this he will have secured his second 150 of the series, can Cooky be considered a world class opener? Im leaning that way...

Bollocks spoke to soon, however Cooky well done great knock, were not going to moan finishing 2 short of your 150 XD

Lets give the other lads a go for a bit :P nice attitude Alistair like your thinking

Suprised Cooky didnt challenge for that dismissal, Im sure that ball went straight through. Guess he must have feathered it.
Time for Colly to show some his form

I think Cook walked, because he knew for a fact he had touched it, and didn't want to waste an appeal tbh. Clever in all fairness knowing the situation should be under control for us atm, however that can all change in an over.

I cant believe that from the first 2 tests, the pitches dont really offer much to the bowlers, Hopefully the other 3 tests grounds offer a much better pitch for the bowlers.

There are alot of pitches which are made for the batters, maybe this has got to do with 20/20 or maybe just thats just how the groundsmen wanted it

Two innings does not a world class opener make. That said, he's maturing as a cricketer. Still only 25... I did always like him, but he's justifying the selectors' faith in him.

Watching KP like this is inspiring stuff. Imperious, aggressive, he just looks like he's contemptuously allowing people to bowl at him whilst he swats it away with ease. Classy, classy stuff.

Anyone got a stream? The one previously posted has just found it's way to UFC...

Also, good to see the Aussies giving a generous hand to Cook throughout his innings. They may be a whiny lot, but they appreciate talent and good cricket when they see it.

Swann is gunna rape on this wicket! :)

Come on KP, get 200, Colly on 70 odd, then we declare.

True, but only one other player in the entire history of test match cricket has scored more runs than Cooky this quickly. And that man is Sachin Tendulkar. 25 years old and 15 test hundreds is simply phenomenal. He hasn't even peaked yet.

I actually dont think the pitches will improve. Look at it from an Aussie point of view. If England can knock them over this easily on this slab of concrete, imagine the carnage Anderson and Co would wreak on a juicy pitch.

Frustrating atm, no luck!
