Clarke and Hussey are putting together a nice LITTLE partnership *touchwood*. Hopefully continues through till tonight, then hope tomorrow is rain affected :S

And yeah I'm doing my rain dance ATM.. I really dont think our middle and tail order can last a whole day of play..
 
Pietersen should bowl more often the amount of turn he puts on the ball can be very rewarding <)
Pretty Awesome, Swann to north in the morning get him, then newball take haddin aswell, then into there tail :D
 
Alright. All geared up? Let's hope the rains stays away and we can give the Aussies a damned good overdue thrashing.

TBF i could turn the ball on that wicket at the moment, and i am a fast bowler, who struggles to turn a ball on a road..

Funny that, I could spin a brick. I'd love to have a bowl on that track, it looks lethal.
 
Any news on the weather?? It better be clear for the day, or all that hard work will be down the drain.

yeah, i am a big quick fast bowler, i love to bowl on some wickets, but this wicket for me would be ****. a spinner loves it.

I will be useless on that pitch, Hardly any swing, and not something for the quickies. I hated bowling at Edgebaston, or any slow pitches
 
Its all about Graeme Swann and super spinner kevin pieterson :P

id love to have a go on it with my spin, might get slogged but id get some movement out of it ;)
i can bowl fast, some days im dead on and quite consistent, others just cant get my rhythm, so i stick to the 6 step walk up ^^)

COME ON BOYS!!!! 2 wickets early and its 1-0...

i have a feeling that we may have bated for a little too long which may hinder our chances of winning this one. hopefully theres a some quick wickets and the test should be wraped up
 
Asked Vaughny over Twitter what the weather was like (me and about a million others) and he reckons it looks good, not a cloud in sight.

EDIT: That said. Aggers says Broad has been unable to bowl in the nets this morning, his side strain has apparently put his entire tour in doubt. According to Nick Hoult of the telegraph, he'll fly home tomorrow.

EDIT: Simon Hughes on TMS says he's spoken to a "distraught" Broad this morning who told him he is flying home today and will be out for 10 weeks. Big blow. We'll need everyone to put in a damned good shift. Let's end this quickly so our bowlers can have a rest.

EDIT: And finally, ECB confirmation. Broad out of the Ashes and ODI series. Torn abdominal muscle.

big big loss for england, thought broad has been bowling quite well this test. Sky just showed a shot of his stomach and it doesnt look good

who to fill the void.. Bresnan? gives away runs? im voting shazad
 
Most likely Brez. We'll want to retain the balance of the side that Broad's batting gave us, and Bresnan is a competent bat. He's solid but unspectacular, would rather Shahzad IMO.
 
****, Broady will be a big loss. Guess Collingwood have bowl more overs. Who are the reserve pace bowlers? Maybe Monty can be in the squad to make 2 spinners.
