The Blue side of Manchester left in turmoil..

Writing and layout can always be changed, but the story is brillian! So is the layout to be fair! I'm probably only a minority who isnt a fan of big writing so don't change it on my accord! Keep the updates coming bro!

Cheers for the feedback, much appreciated :)

May

Here we go, the last month of the season and I'm not going to lie, I was feeling nervous about qualifying for Champions League and for my job. I am not going to give my results as I normally would, I will instead give you game by game results and keep you waiting a bit longer..

First off we started our month at Leicester, I was quietly confident of a win and set out all attack.

Absolutely nailed it, the result was never in any doubt and their goal was a complete fluke! Darren Bent took his first 2 chances and from then on we never looked back and I have to say the three players that got on the score sheet were without doubt my best three attacking players this season.

Next up came Crystal Palace at home and after the last game I was confident of a big win.. How silly of me!

That's right, we dominated the game from start to finish and yet we still managed to find our self 2-0 down with 30 mins to go. In truth the this result was mainly down to Darren Bent's many misses, I don't want to put him down because he really has been the biggest surprise for me this season and has been great but he is very inconsistent, the man will score a hat-trick one match and then go 3 games without scoring and fails to hit the target in 20 shots. Never the less it was a big loss and puts our top 4 spot in danger..

Our penultimate game came away at Stoke, we all now how much of a tough game that could be. We are laying in 5th place at this point, a point below Man Utd with a game in hand and 3 points below Tottenham in 3rd.

I'm not going to lie, when Walters scored on the 6th minute of this match I thought our CL qualification and my Man City career was over, I screamed out to show me some passion and my god did they. Bent replied shortly after and then we finished the game off before half time. The 2nd half was nothing more than a formality and the Top 4 place I set my sights on at the beginning of the season was within my grasp!

Final day of the season

Apologies I didn't take a screen shot of the league at this point but we was sitting in 4th place, depending on results we could finish in 3rd or at worst 5th, however 5th place I am sure was not an option.

So the Finale of the 2014-2015 season was at home to West Ham, a side that I personally hate playing because I never know what West Ham team are going to turn up.

We didn't waste any time here, there was no way I was going to let Van Gaal and Man United finish above us in the League for the final CL spot. I set out ALL attack, 2 forwards, 2 attacking wingers and an overload style of play, once it got to 7 minutes and we was already 2-0 up, I took 2 attacking players off and crammed my midfield to ensure we dominated possession and see the game out.

So after the 38th match of the season, this is how the standings looked..

We made it!! I really couldn't be happier with our final position given the disaster of last summer. Had I been offered a 4th place spot at the beginning of the season, just 7 points below 1st then I would have snapped it up. If I want to be really picky about the season I would say the most annoying thing is that the reason the winners trophy went to Anfield was the arrival of Sergio Aguero.. for Free!

So here is the final awards and other pieces of news as the season draws to a close..

As I expected Sinclair claimed Player's Player of the season and boy did he deserve it, I am going to look at cashing in on this fantastic season though as I don't think it will continue into the next and atm I can get around
£20 Million for him!

View attachment 304390
This boy was pure class this year and developed into a fantastic player, I am enquiring into signing him on a permanent deal but Barca want me to meet his £46 Million buy out clause.

Players Player of the season, 2nd highest scorer from the left wing, 2nd highest rated player in the league and 2nd highest assists.. where is Scott Sinclair on the Team of the Year.. on the bench.. Go figure??

View attachment 304392

There are no words, Townsend is a good player but really??

Before I leave you to prepare for the new pre-season I just thought I would update you with our financial position.
Thanks to the sale of our key players and the new chairman's commitment to getting this club back to a great financial position, we actually made £30 Million profit this year and as such we have a great transfer budget for the new season.

I am planning to sell all of the rest of the dead wood this season and really put my own stamp on this Man City team.

1st season down and I think my targets were well and truly met.. Bring on 2015-2016!

Nice! Sinclair was class for you!

Got a screenshot of Acosta?

Thanks. He was immense, played him as a Raumdeuter on the left wing, should be able to cash in big I think as I want to develop Savitskiy this season.

I will update with a screen shot tonight :D

Can I get a screenshot of Sinclair? Fancy doing a realistic Liverpool save and he is exactly the sort of player we would sign..

Well done on finishing 4th mate! Sinclair looked class for you this season

2015-2016 Season

I have had a huge pre season transfer wise, trying to rebuild the squad after the big financial changes that took place last year and of course the large amount of star players sold. We have had some up and down results in the pre-season friendlies but nothing to worry about really as I made sure the players knew it was all about fitness.

Before I get into transfers and the new season fixtures, here are a few other updates.

View attachment 303857View attachment 303858

So financially we have lost a lot of ground on the bigger clubs, we are in a much better position than we were in January but this was only down to the board takeover. It is going to take a lot of time to get back to a club value of £1 Billion again.
We had a pretty good showing in the CL last season with some big wins so we have gone up in the European rankings, I will be looking to grow this reputation further this season.

View attachment 303859
We have been made the 4th favourites to win the league, I would say maybe that's a fair assessment but I am definitely looking to challenge for the League Title again this season.

Transfers In

I have brought in quite a few new faces this season, a lot of them being young talent, mainly because I do like to focus on youth and I always want to make a profit on players where I can.

Richairo Zivkovic - £10.5 Million

View attachment 303843
Absolute bargain for a player with the potential to be the best Forward in the world. I felt he wasn't quite ready so I agreed to let him go back to Ajax as part of the deal. Really excited to have him in my team next season.

Kristoffer Ajer - £475k

View attachment 303847
This guy really is the definition of bargain, at £475k plus £1 Million in incentives he is worth the money even if he doesn't make it at Man City. I have no doubt though he will be a great addition to our squad for a good few years. Very young and plenty of time to develop.

Adama Traore - Loan

View attachment 303844
That's right I brought him back, I tried my hardest to get him on a permanent deal, he even tried to force the move from Barcelona to join us but after the terrific season he had with us last year they would not accept any less than his Buy out clause of £46 Million. I may try again in January if we have the finances.

Fabio Daprela - £3.8 Million

View attachment 303841
I don't think this guy is going to improve anymore but he had a £3.8 Mil buy out clause and is going to be a very good back-up player to rotate with Kolarov. At very worst I think I will be able to make a profit.

Hatem Ben Arfa - Free

View attachment 303845

It had to be done, I know he is a bit of a nightmare to manage but if you can keep him happy and you get his role in the team right then you will have a very talented player in your squad, well worth the risk. Once again the worst case scenario is I make some money.

Gabriel Barbosa - £15 Million

View attachment 303846

This player is a beast, he has been scoring goals for fun in Brazil since he could walk and it isn't going to stop there, this kid isn't going to stop until his name is up there with the Brazilian greats. Only downfall was the £16 Million that his agent wanted for the deal so he actually cost us £31 Million.. still worth every penny.

John Stones - £20 Million

View attachment 303842
I really wanted to purchase at least one English talent and I made this guy my main target as I am very short in the CD department. He has a huge future in the game and I have no doubt he will be a key player in the heart of defence for years to come. The deal in the end was £10 Million upfront and the rest over 48 months.

I also have the below two signings going through, Jovic not until January and Horvath still to be completed, both young players for the future..

View attachment 303836View attachment 303835

Luka Jovic - £5 Million (£2.5 Million upfront)
Sasha Horvath - £3.8 Million (Buy out clause) To be confirmed

Transfers Out Summary

Scott Sinclair - £20 Million

I was sad to let Scott go but I wanted to cash in on him when the going was good. The fans regarded him as one of the favourite players and obviously his performance last season was something special but I really do not think he will keep it up through out this season and £20 Million is a fantastic deal.

Alvaro Negredo - £20 Million

This deal was already agreed as apart of his loan so I had no input, really happy to have the £20 Million though as I would have sold him anyway.

Karim Rekik - £5.5 Million

Good young talent but I would rather take the money now then spend a few years developing him to probably sell him for the same amount.

John Guidetti - £5 Million

Had a brilliant season at Celtic last season scoring 13 in 16 games. I just don't have the space for him, I currently have a possible 6 strikers aged between 16-21 who could all be world class in the future so I need to be clever in the way I handle them.

Bacary Sagna - £1.6 Million

I am just glad to get rid of him, £1.6 Mil is a bit low but that was his value and I just despise the man so I am glad to see the back of him.

So that sums up my main transfer business for this window, I think I can say I am done now with just over a week until our opening match. As you can see the rest are just loans out and released players.

I think we have a much more balanced squad this season with a good blend of youth and experience. We definitely have a squad much more capable of handling a the big fixture list and I really feel I now have the squad to start challenging.

What do you think of the squads chances of winning a major trophy? How do you feel my dealings in the transfer market went? Would you have done anything differently?

Well done on finishing 4th mate! Sinclair looked class for you this season

Cheers buddy. He was immense, regretfully I have let him go to Newcastle but I think a deal worth £20 mil is too good to turn down.

Thanks for following :)

Shame about the sale of Sinclair. He had a brilliant season. But signing Barbosa for cheaper than Sinclair seems like a steal. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on in the Premier League.

Man dude, I love this save. Thanks for the consistent updates. I am a quiet reader as I am sure there are a lot of. I think you've done a great job with the team. Good luck for the new season!

It's a pity it wasn't cheaper than Sinclair because of a stingy agent, but hey, what can you do?

I know it was a shame, I did kind of force him out though, not something I would normally do to the player of the season but there's just something about him I am not keen on.

Yeah I am really looking forward to seeing his development, hopefully he will become a City great! Thanks for following!

Cheers buddy. No worries, I try to put as much time as I can into the story, I'm sure my Mrs would say too much time but what does she know! All readers are welcome, I am just happy people are enjoying the story, Thanks for your appreciation dude!

Well guys, for anyone reading this story, my Man City career came to an abrupt end.

As you would have been aware there was a board takeover at the end of last season which saw former City player Ray Ranson take over the club, he stated at the time that he had preferences to employ an Italian manager but he would give me a chance to prove myself.

After just 9 games in the Premiership we suffered 5 losses, to be fair they did include close results at Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal but it was still enough to seal my fate. Some silver linings were some amazing performances from Savitisky and Odergaard, the biggest under performer was definitely Barbosa who only managed 1 goal in 7 games.

Thanks to everyone that followed as brief as the story was, I have enjoyed writing it up and I am definitely going to start a new one shortly. Hopefully my next story will have a happier ending.
