May/End of Season Update:

Sevilla 1-0 Atleti

They are a good side and they rightly won the match. We had a few bits of quality and maybe could have got something but they were the better side, so fair play to them!

Zaragoza 3-3 Atleti
Aguero, Antonio Lopez, Forlan

Grrr! The referee denied us two goals and both times Zaragoza went up the other end and scored from their free kick! It was disapointing but guaranteed us 3rd place so we are delighted!

Atleti 1-2 Getafe
Gignac

We rested 9 of what has come to be our stongest XI, only Cleber Santana and the ever present Sergio Asenjo played. Andre-Pierre scored a good goal to attempt to convince me that he shuld be more than a back up striker. He will definitely not play on Thursday though!

Champions!

I am truly on top of the world, we are champions of Europe for the first time in the clubs history! It was a great performance from everyone today but I have to give a special thank you to Nicolas who dominated their three forwards and scored what proved to be the winner, the way he has made the step up for us this season is incredible! This will get us alot of revenue whilst also alot of sponsorship rights and deals, again; well done lads!

Valladolid 3-1 Atleti
Aguero

This result meant nothing, we played some younger players and tried some things out. as you can probably see they didn't work all to well but it doesn't matter so I'm not really bothered.

Double? No Trouble!

Wow! A fine end to a fantastic season, we had won the game with 3 goals from Diego within 17 minutes of kick-off, Valencia looked deflated although they managed to get a late consolation through David Villa we dominated and have claimed the double! I will repeat that this just wraps up a fine season that was one of, if not the best in the clubs history. I have been hailed by the fans, players and the media! this only adds to the joy I feel after lifting two trophies in two weeks to end an amazing season!

Well that is the end of what has been an eventful year to say the least! It was full of highlights (13-2 vs Chelsea) and lowlights (1-3 vs Valladolid) but all in all an amazing season for the club! We passed all expectations and finished in a very respectable third which claimed us the Champions League spot we had aimed for! We didn't expect any trophies let alone two! Everybody exoected us to collapse after being knocked out of the Champions League all those months ago but now who is laughing?! Nobody. If we can redo our achievements this year next season I will be absolutely out of this universe! Atletico Madrid: I love you!
