As highlighted above.
Words as such are highlighted are now earmarked on social networking sites as well as Scottish football forums. Time to stamp it out here as well.
This thread should be focussing on football
'Celtic were good today because...'
'We sucked today after....'
'Did you hear? We are being linked with...'

I thought it was that and while I will obviously go along with the wishes of any of the forums moderators if they do not want that term used, the word "hun" is not a bigoted or sectarian remark. It has nothing to do with any religion or of being Protestant and even Nil By Mouth agreed that it is not a bigoted or sectarian remark. It is purely a term for "hunnish" behaviour and "hun" is basically a term for a Rangers supporter - nothing to do with whatever religion they may be.
The Courier - 'Hun' not a sectarian term, Celtic fans' chief tells committee
Cant beleive I got banned for that, meh.
I agree with you there mate.
Anyway the Docs fear Beram could now be out for 4months minimum.
Even if we pretend that it was a 50-50. It stops being a fair challenge when McElbows lifts his foot to knee height with the studs very much on show. No doubt that will get him a new contract.
Bit of a bummer that he could be out for about 4 months as well. BUT the words "could be" mean that he might not be. That could be the worse case scenario that we have been given.
I saw the replay a good few times and I think it's the way that Kayal's foot landed on the ball resulting him to go over on his ankle that caused the injury really because in that middle picture you can see that Kayal's ankle is already over on itself on the ground. I think it was more unfortunate rather than vicious by McElbows.
I'm not defending McElbows though because on another day with his foot being as high as it is, it's a leg breaker of a tackle and was reckless so I think there's a bit of luck involved for Kayal that McElbows foot didn't connect (as intended?) with Kayal's shin/knee.
One good thing is at least we have cover in the midfield now with players that have come back from injury - especially Izzy. He will come back in which means that Ledley will be able to play back in midfield again, so we have Ki, Brown, Ledley and Wanyama available for midfield. If this injury happened two to three months ago it would have been a different story. I'm not saying it's GOOD to have Kayal out of course, but at least we have cover there now.
yes true but they r only supposed to appeal if they think its the wrong decision appealing so they can play in the next match is not what its there for
take suarez they done it the other way they think he is innocent but theyre not appealing because if they do and lose then he misses the tottenham and united games and if they just accept it he will only miss 3 premiership games against weaker teams it works both ways but thats not what its there for
I agree with this. Sally appealed McElbows red card simply so he had McCulloch available for the derby game - not because he thought he was innocent. If he honestly thought the red card that McElbows got for deliberately elbowing Graham Carey in the face was not a red then he's even more deluded than what he was when he argued against the Aluko ban for his very blatant swan dive against Dunfermline.
I think anyone in their shoes (and has a squad as thin as theirs) would have probably done the same thing to be honest. If there's a loop-hole there it will get used no matter what.
he's played 26 out of 31 competitive games this season and been **** the majority of them
right up untill november the 5 the whole teams been boloocks so thats hardly same form as last year
Ah but remember, mate, the huge amount of injuries we had round about September and October time would have added to us not playing our best and a hit to our confidence. I'm not saying that injuries were purely down to it BUT when you have over 11 players out (most of them first team regulars) at one time it makes a difference, especially in getting into a rhythm.
A good amount of those injuries seemed to be happening to our defence as well. I mean at one time we had the likes of Ledley, Brown, Loovens, Izaguirre, Kayal, Ki, Hooper, Rogne, Mulgrew, Commons and Cha all out at the same time at one point or another. That's a team in on it's own AND that's not even all the injuries we had at one point either.
These players have started to come back since the beginning of November and we have now found a more steady rhythm and this shows with us having won 10 leagues games in a row now. I'm sure a kick up the **** from Lennon at times has helped along the way also
