Chelsea welcomed Atletico Madrid to Samford on a wet wednesday night.
Chelsea all match were putting the pressure on and when needed at the back the were very responsible.
Slobodan Rajkovic, in place for injured Branislav Ivanovic took the lead from a unlikely source, Ashley Cole crossed from 30 yards out and it connected well with the head of Slobodan and flu into the top corner. 14 minutes later, Yoann Gourcuff added to his goalscoring campaign with a well worked finish which end with a 1-on-1 situation and came out on top. 4 minutes from time, Frank Lampard finished Atletico off with a beautifully stroke shot from 35 yards which flu into the top right hand corner off the bar. Slobodan Rajkovic collected man of the match.

Chelsea were welcomed to Bloomfield Road, to play newly promoted Blackpool.
Gabby Agbonlahor scored in just 14 minutes with him walking straight through the defence for a easy finish. Chelsea made lots more chances that half but couldn't seem to put it into the back of the net. 5 minutes into the second half and Yoann Gourcuff added a bit of special magic from the French attacker and smacked home a 40 yard screamer which surely would gain goal of the month, if not goal of the season. 2 minutes later Brett Ormerod scored an unlikely goal from a corner kick. 3 minutes later John Terry punished Blackpool with header from the corner kick of Yoann Gourcuff. Joe Cole hit the icing on the cake with a well worked finish that he had started in his own half. Yoann Gourcuff collected man of the match.

WOLVES 0 - 4 CHELSEA

Chelsea were welcomed to Molineux by a Wolves team whom were fighting for relegation.
Chelsea took the lead with a Michael Essien screamer from 35 yards out on the volley. Chelsea created lots more chances that match but were unable to hit the back of the net. In the 84th minute, Gabby Agbonlahor hit a stroke of genius and walked through the defence of Wolves. 2 minutes later, just as Wolves attack broke down, Chelsea hit them on the break and Frank Lampard capped a well worked match. Gabby Agbonlahor really showed Chelsea why he was worth £12 million and created a goal out of nothing and tackled defender Jody Craddock and placed into the bottom corner, the keeper just stood and watched. Tranquillo Barnetta collected man of the match.

Gabby Agbonlahor Seem's A Great Signing For You, But How Do You Keep The Like's Of Sturridge,Di Santo, Drogba, Anelka All Happy? I Dont Think Neither Drogba Or Anelka Would Settle For A Place On The Bench For Long, Soon It May Affect Team Moral

Well Sturridge, I keep in the reserves so he keeps on getting better and better.
Di Santo, I sold him for £8M to AC Milan.
Drogba, has been injured for a long time, but when he's not injured, I seem to swoop him and Agbonlahor around or play them together.
Anelka I usually play with Agbonlahor, but if Drogba's available and fit, Drogba will play instead.

CHELSEA 1 - 0 AS ROMA
article_RTXEJPA.jpg

Chelsea welcome Roma to the bridge and this was a poor game for both teams.
Chelsea took the lead with Yoann Gourcuff and his magically right boot, with a beautifully weighted pass from Nicolas Anelka, Yoann smacked home the only goal of the game. David Pizarro seemed to take his anger of conceded on a tackle on Daniel Van Buyten and Pizarro was given a straight red. Unluckily for Daniel, he had torn his calf muscle and will be out for up to 3-4 months. Alex will be his replacement till then. Yoann Gourcuff collected man of the match.

CHELSEA 5 - 2 FULHAM

Chelsea welcomed Fulham to the bridge which would be a game that certainly involve goals.
Diomansy Kamara took the lead for Fulham in the 20th minute. 15 minutes later Chelsea stroke gold and fired in from Frank Lampard, a free kick from 25 yards out. Just before half time, Chelsea won a corner from a Gabby Agbonlahor shot, Yoann Gourcuff took the corner and Alex headed in and the near post. After the break it only took 7 minutes for Chelsea to get back into stride and Gabby Agbonlahor scored a 1-on-1 with the keeper as Chelsea counter attacked. 3 minutes later, Gabby was up to it again, apart from with Fulham defenders surrounding him, he hit it from 25 yards out and hit the post and rustled the back of the net. Yoann Gourcuff which at this point wasn't really involved in the game played a easy 1-2 with Joe Cole and stroke home a first time volley. With 4 minutes to go Fulham won a corner and Bobby Zamora smuggled a goal into the bottom corner, Petr Cech just couldn't see it. Yoann Gourcuff collected man of the match for 2 games in a row.

COVENTRY 1 - 3 CHELSEA
EMP-8171241.jpg

Chelsea faced automatic promotion fighters Coventry in the League Cup 4th round after beating Arsenal 2-1 in the 3rd round.
Chelsea took an early lead with Nemanja Matic blasting into the top corner from 25 yards after a brilliantly found pass from Romelu Lukaku. Didier Drogba scored, but should of counted as Daniel Sturridge's as Sturridge was the one who shot from 20 yards out and hit Didier Drogba in the box. Ricardo Carvalho headed in 3 minutes into the second half from a Yossi Benayoun corner. Jonathan Stead scored in the 80th minute but Chelsea wasn't bothered as the passed there way to the final whistle. Nemanja Matic collected man of the match.

WEST BROMICH ALBION 0 - 2 CHELSEA

Probably the first game I've ever seen Chelsea play in red, but it turned out well for the Chelsea boys.
Neither teams created chances in the first half, and soon went the first half. The second half was full of shots, goals and cards. Not to soon later a beautifully weighted pass from Marco Verratti lead Joe Cole straight into a 1-on-1 situation, 1-0. With 9 minutes remaining Gabby Agbonlahor ran into a crowded box and was tripped, Frank Lampard stepped up and added to the score sheet. John Terry was awarded man of the match.
Chelsea lead the league by 12 points over second place Liverpool.

AS ROMA 1 - 5 CHELSEA
DIDIER_DROGBA_280x3_531033a.jpg

Chelsea were welcomed to the Olimpico by a Roma team topping the Serie A.
Chelsea took an instant lead with nearly 75% of the possession before the goal and sooner or later there would be a goal. Yoann Gourcuff stole from Matteo Brighi and ran the length of the pitch to be welcomed to a 1-on-1 situation and hit the back of the net. 12 minutes later, Yoann was up to the same again but released to Didier Drogba and Drogba tapped in. At half time, it looked to be a white wash by Chelsea and 15 minutes into the match Nemanja Matic, Marco Verratti and Romelu Lukaku were all released onto the pitch. 5 minutes later, Matic stroke from 20 yards and the keeper didn't have a chance, 3-0. Matteo Brighi hit Chelsea on the counter attack and hit the back of the net, a good peace of skill by the Italian. 3 minutes later, Frank Lampard played a 1-2 with Marco Verratti and Lampard placed in the net. with 4 minutes to go, John Terry headed home from a Nemanja Matic corner. Yoann Gourcuff collected man of the match.

CHELSEA 5 - 1 ARSENAL
0,1020,1343511,00.jpg

Arsenal were welcomed by Chelsea at the bridge with lots of injuries and suspensions. Arsenal mainly played youngsters apart from 1 or 2, and it didn't turn out well for Arsene.
16 minutes had gone when Frank Lampard hit from 35 yards and Vito Mannane had no chance. 15 minutes later, Tranquillo Barnetta played a neat 1-2 with Michael Essien giving Tranquillo an easy finish. With 6 minutes to the whistle for half time. Yoann Gourcuff floated a free-kick towards the back post, Branislav Ivanovic headed in.
9 minutes after the break Gabby Agbonlahor tapped in, Didier Drogba did all the work. 5 minutes later, Ashley Cole ran from his own half to be welcomed with a 1-on-1 with the keeper, 5-0! It look like Chelsea were unbreakable, I stoke to soon, Nicklas Bendtner tapped in a sloppy goal. Gabby Agbonlahor collected man of the match.
