MANCHESTER CITY 2 - 3 CHELSEA
barn_DOMINICFAVRE.jpg

Chelsea were welcomed by a Manchester City team holding 2nd place behind Giants Chelsea and leading Liverpool.
This game always going to involve goals with Gabby Agbonlahor first in the top goalscorer chart and Jo in second.
Didier Drogba caught a finch of genius after a free-kick from 25 yards out. 3 minutes later, the most unlikely goal you'd ever see, a John Terry screamer, it came out of the box and fell to Terry's feet and he lashed at it, it flu into the top corner of the bar!
The second half began and Chelsea were looking brilliant and without a doubt Tranquillo Barnetta hit the back of the net again, one again with a 1-2 apart from this time with Gabby Agbonlahor. In the 72nd minute, Roque Santa Cruz scored from 20 yards out, were Man City starting the biggest come back of there lives? 13 mnutes later, Jo broke from his own box and tapped in past Petr Cech, it was clear to see why Jo was picked over Carlos Tevez. With 5 minutes remaining, Man City couldn't get back at Chelsea. Tranquillo Barnetta collected man of the match.

Chelsea welcomed Russian team, Rubin Kazan to the bridge which would be a great game, in the last meeting between these two was in Russia and the score was 1-0 (Michael Essien).
Chelsea looked in control all game and Rubin found it difficult to have a long spell with the ball. With 3 minutes added on and only 2 remaining, Yoann Gourcuff found the ball at his feet 30 yards out, he weighted the most beautifully pass extremely well through to Florent Malouda, and Malouda smashed the back of the net. Ashley Cole collected man of the match.

CHELSEA 6 - 1 NEWCASTLE
lev-fcb-5.jpg

Newcastle were welcomed by a Chelsea team unbeaten under manager Kurt Fish and it wouldn't look to be broken against Newcaste, a team riddled with injuries and suspensions.
Phil Airey took the lead with a headed goal from a Chris Brunt corner kick, he beat Florent Malouda in the air. Just before half time, Yoann Gourcuff took the ball from his own box to release Tranquillo Barnetta for a wonderful goal.
In the second half, it was ALL Chelsea, and 1 minute in, Tranquillo stole from Ben Tozer and lashed his left boot at the ball from 25 yards, 2-1. 4 minutes later, a John Terry header, from a Tranquillo corner, hit the post and hit the keeper as he tried to save it. 3-1. Only 4 minutes later, Tranquillo completed his first ever hat-trick in professional football in style, he hit a free kick from 35 yards with flu into the top corner, 4-1. It looked as if Newcastle weren't embarrassed but Frank Lampard seemed to walk through the defence to tap in the 5th goal for Chelsea. 2 minutes to go, Gabby Agbonlahor finally scored after a 236 minute goal drought. Tranquillo Barnetta collected man of the match.
Chelsea remain top of the Premiership by 11 points and 16 goals.

Yoann-Gourcuff-001.jpg

In the second half things fired up. Yoann Gourcuff smacked home a free kick from 30 yards which hit the bar and crashed into the back of the net. 6 minutes later, Frank Lampard collected his second yellow card of the game and was sent off the pitch in disbelieve from a little shuff on David Dunne and was a little dramatic from Dunne. Frank was fined with only a warming, but if done again he will be fined 1 or 2 weeks wages. Yoann Gourcuff collected man of the match.
Chelsea still unbeaten in 23 matches under manager Kurt Fish, 29 including friendlies. Chelsea travel to Spain to face Atletic Madric on Tuesday night.

ATLETICO MADRID 0 - 0 CHELSEA
John-Terry-2-4-10-2.jpg

Atletico Madric welcomed Chelsea to the Vicente Calderon in Madrid looking for revenge, after a embarrassing loss in London by 3 goals to 0.
This was always going to be a hard match for Chelsea playing Atletico in Madrid espically after a surprise win at the Camp Nou 3-1.
Both teams created chances with Yoann Gourcuff and Didier Drogba coming close for Chelsea and Diego Forlan not for from goal one or twice. 2 yellow cards were releaved, one to Yoann Gourcuff, and the other Jose Manuel Jurado. Slobodan Rajkovic collected man of the match. John Terry went off injured, but it known he'll recover in a few days.
Chelsea didn't win today, and this was the first time since Kurt Fish took over on 7th of July 2009.

Only 4 minutes later Yoann Gourcuff returned the favour to Tranquillo, another through ball pass and an easy tap in, 2-0. Just 3 minutes later, a cross which was flooted across by Joe Cole connected well with the head of the Ivory Coast man, Didier Drogba and flu into the top corner. 2 minutes later a headed back pass to Petr Cech from Slobodan Rajkovic was thumbled into his own net by Petr Cech. Chelsea fought back though and with a little magic from Joe Cole, it was 4-1. Tranquillo Barnetta collected man of the match.

STOKE 2 - 2 CHELSEA

Stoke welcomed the Blues to the Britannia Stadium, and a Stoke team which were fighting Liverpool for 3rd place.
Chelsea were the first to take the lead with a Frank Lampard strike from 25 yards out. Just after the whistle had blown for the start of the second half, Frank Lampard conceded a free kick, Stoke hit Chelsea when they were least expecting, a quick free kick which lead Ricardo Fuller to score. 9 minutes later, a mix up in the Cheslea box lead Ricardo to score his second.
