I'd put Demba Ba as 4th choice behind Lukaku, Torres and Gary Cahill.
 
Well played. We should've had a pen, but on the balance of things I'm not overly disappointed.
 
Okore impressed when we played against him for that Danish team I can't spell in the Champions League. We were then linked to him for a couple months, good signing.
 
Just got back from the bridge and we were very very lucky to win. Was right behind the goal at the shed end and it was a clear pen as soon as it hit Terry's hand I said to my mate that's a pen. Branna also lucky to stay on but I am not complaining he got the winner :)
 
In other news, terrible blunder by Courtois vs. Barca today.

This is something i have been saying for weeks now mate. Remember seeing Mata for the first time in pre-season i believe he came on as a late sub vs Inter when we were winning. They went to a close up of Jose and he was absolutely screaming at Mata to track back.

Personally i think you should have realized that Jose loves his back 4 to be proper defenders and he knows he will get that with Brana so i say its your fault for not using your noodle lol.

I didn't watch the game as i had some ****** thing called work to attend! But i did listen to it on talksport and have just seen the highlights and from what i saw/heard we were quite lucky to take all 3 points today. Villa have impressed me early on and in my opinion there is absolutely no way you will be fighting a relegation battle this season, 12 upwards for your lads this season i reckon.

As for Chelsea yes we rode our luck at times but Champions need that, 2 wins from 2 is a good steady start but our season really starts next Monday. I will say the type of affair we had today is a kind of game we would have dropped points in last season, teams who break quick and get in your face (Newcastle away) so that is a massive improvement in itself.

I do have one negative which is something i also touched on Sunday, the amount of shots on target and amount of shots by our "strikers". 23 shots on goal on Sunday with Torres having 2 of them, both of which were blocked shots so didn't even make the goal. And tonight just the 3 shots on target, that is not acceptable and we desperately need another centre forward if we want to challenge for the top honors this season and Jose knows that.
 
A striker is a must. No way Lukaku can lead the line for the whole season but Jose says he has a plan B and C so here's hoping ... Though we really rode our luck at times but still early days. Will only improve from here on and Jose will never let us get mired in a mid season slump like what happened last 2 seasons after strong starts
 
I will be devastated if Mata ends up leaving or just being benched or something. And Mata is someone you must play in the middle, not out wide. He was a bomb last season playing there and Jose knows it. I don't know what's happening between them but it's hurting me. I hope it's not just one of his 'I simply hate Spanish players' things.
 
Interesting question here ... Would Benzema be a good for us? More importantly, would he want to play under Jose again?

I remember saying that a few weeks ago, and I think JDY has said before too. Mata is ****** brilliant, but he is not a Jose power player.

Lots of people were saying there was no way he could have been offered up with Rooney. Well, not sure there is no way tbh. Certainly not 100% hunky dory.

Welll I thought Dave was great for you last season...but you have a point, manly chest-haired serbian bear is much more in-line with Jose's style.

I have been saying this for a couple of weeks now on various Chelsea groups on Facebook without much backing. As much as i don't want to see Mata leave i do see reasons why he may leave.

He was great for us, in fact most fans believed he had made that right back position his own for this season but Jose has other ideas lol.
 
It's sky sources who says Chelsea are in talks with Willian. Strange one seeing as he has already passed a medical at Spurs and that Mata is better than him and proven in the premier league. But it wouldn't surprise me if he did sign for Chelsea. All you would have to do is offer the agent a higher fee. £6million was payed to Hazards agent.
