The question which i have tonight is simply this, why did we put so many crosses in? There is no target man upfront and even the crosses we did put in were poor. Stats to prove this i hear you all cry, well here they are.

Crosses successful/attempted: 5/42!!!!!

Its not only crosses its corners which we have been quite poor from this season, stats prove this yet again today.

Corners successful/attempted: 1/9

Food for thought Jose.

Think it's time Jose starts dropping players because of how they are performaning not who his favourites are! Lampard and Ivanovic poor all season so far and Oscar has done nothing his last 4-5 games.

Can someone tell me what Lampard contributes? Or Ivanovic? It's time for Mourinho to drop these players. Our midfield is so poor, it's beyond belief. We have to revert to a 4-3-3 simply because none of our midfielders have the proper skill-set to be play in a double pivot aside from Mikel and Essien. 4-3-3 would suit our midfield better until we actually spend what we need to get some midfielders in January ....

If we play 4-3-3 then it means dropping Oscar and Mata, not going to happen. I agree we don't have the players to play the pivot but Mikel would be a start.

Well big fat frank scores two more against the aammmmeerrrrsssss. Their fans reactions to his goals were priceless and thought out "frank Lampard, his won more than you" chant was brilliant.

Good win, nothing more than we deserved based on the balance of play. Credit to Frank for the great brace. Oscar superb as usual. Azpilicueta put in a brilliant shift as well

Very much enjoyed that performance yesterday, even before the gift i felt we were in control of the match. When watching the game and realizing it was a 4-3-3 we were playing i said to my brother "watch Ramires and Frank have blinders" ever since we have been playing 4-2-3-1 so for what 2 years now i have said Ramires should not be part of an 11 which plays that system because he can't.

I won't go into a long old rant because every man and his dog/cat/fish/whatever pet you desire to have know my thoughts on Mikel but as Lamps said after the game when he plays it gives him and others more license to go forward. Not only that but the full backs push up higher and the centre backs push out to full back when we have possession because Mikel will sit in at centre back basically as a quarter back. For me there is a reason he is 1. still at the club and 2. whenever replaced not long until he is back in permanently again.

I felt everyone had a very good game but standouts for me were Oscar, Ivanovic, Azpi Mikel and Lampard. How great is it seeing him score against them lot especially at their pad and kissing the badge, that is what football is all about they boo him for no real reason in the 1st place remember it was them who took him for granted and didn't see the potential in him!

I said i believed the International break came at a ****** good time for us because we were getting a few wobbly results and although a win against a very toothless West Ham side doesn't prove too much it is a step in the right direction and something we can build on.

One thing I found funny was some west ham fans were complaining about frank Lampards celebrations last night claiming them to be out of order but booing him, calling him fat (even though upton park is full of 18 stone blokes) and even a very small minority going as far as shouting things about his late mother are all completely fine?

Just like Arsenal fans spend every waking moment abusing RVP, calling him a rapist etc. and then take the moral high ground when he celebrates.

Exactly I can remember the other week arsenal fans going crazy on twitter about his celebration but moments earlier were all tweeting abuse. If this season at Stamford bridge Sturridge is booed then goes on to score I will not moan about it (some Chelsea fans still will though of course even after calling him a selfish ***** etc)

That's just the nature of some football fans, though - that's why football is often associated with stuff like hooliganism.

I've got a better body than Frank.

Although I'm 21 and he's in his late 30s XD

Shocking performance all round. 0 shots the entire game?!

Lampard in particular, absolutely abysmal.
