Courtois' father confirms that Courtois will be at Chelsea next season alongside Cech... Honestly I would rather sell Cech and bring back Courtois but I suppose this is infinitely better than the crappy Courtois for Costa swap deal rumours we would have to worry about otherwise
 
Interesting team selection from Jose. Ramires in the band of 3 along with Hazard and Willian. Oscar misses out. Matic and Luiz in midfield ... Will be a beast of a battle between them and Toure. Eto'o leading the line. Azpi at LB over Cole

I don't see Ramires out wide, i see more a 4-3-3. These games are normally won/lost in midfield so basically its Demechellis and Toure vs Matic, Ramires and Luiz. I like the look of that.

Makes more sense that way ... Although I would start Lampard over Ramires considering we are playing with 3 in the midfield

Being defensively responsible means parking the bus according to most people if we're doing it. In the last 2 years we've gone from being idealistic to negative to anti football to naive to boring and now we're back to being negative again, lol.

Next goal wins it imo.
 
everything is spot on jose has worked this out. Ramires out wide right because Kolorov loves to come forward so when back in possession of the ball Ramires will have him on toast. When we do get goal kicks, free kicks from deep, long cross field balls we push Ivanovic to attacking midfield right because he will and has won every aerial dual against Kolorov and we get men around the duel so we pick up the pieces. Letting Toure have the ball getting infront of him and letting willian come in from behind him to challenge him and then we ambush. sensational just sensational.

Yeah but that wasted chance before the goal............. seriously. Although I think Willian is responsible for that, how on earth would you pass the ball to RAMIRES (the worst finisher in the team?) when you have Eto'o and Hazard next to you.

David Luiz deserves credit too. Between Luiz, Ramires and Brana, Silva is just getting shut out.

Yeah he picked the wrong choice without a doubt which is a criticism labelled at him quite a bit.
 
awesome by Chelsea so far great game too, just out working city they just seem bemused to what is going on.
 
This is just incredible from Jose, the way he set up the team and nullified City's attack completely.

Should have been out of sight by now and really unlucky to be leading by only 1 goal.

City without Fernandinho and Aguero helped but you can beat what is put infront of you. Very impressed with how Chelsea played, Matic has addressed your biggest weakness.
 
Mourinho's tactically outwitted Pellegrini here. What on earth was the latter thinking in playing Demichelis in centre-midfield against the likes of Matić, Luiz and Ramires?
 
Btw, what's the minimum punishment for the rape? Looks like Zabaleta might press charges against Hazard.

It's more the 2 man midfield that's ****** them so far, although Demichelis has been awful.

Demichelis is in the two-man midfield. Even Tour? and Fernandinho would have a tough time, never mind Tour? and Demichelis!
