Without top, top wages? Are you sure about this? I'll admit that I don't know for sure, but I'd put his wages at at least ?200k per week, and that's 'top, top wages' in my book.

He's making 7m a year according to the BBC and the independent (I just googled it :P), which translates roughly to 145/Week. That's not too bad for someone of his caliber.

Decent look behind the scenes. Don't like or hate City but you have to say their social media work is excellent.

I would like a list of Ivanovic's goals. I'm pretty sure more than half of them are vital goals. He seems to always rise to the occasion.

His first 2 goals were in that 3-1 win at Anfield in the Champions League giving him the nickname "2goal Branislav Ivanovic.

3rd goal a 4-0 win at the Reebok.

4th goal a 84th minute winner in a 2-1 win at Ewood Park against Blackburn.

5th and 6th goals against Spartak Moscow in a 4-1 win.

7th goal in a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.

8th goal the 1st in a 2-0 win against Blackburn.

9th in a 2-2 draw vs Newcastle.

10th in a 5-0 win vs Genk.

11th the winner in extra time in that 4-1 home win against Napoli.

12th and 13th in a 4-2 win away at Aston Villa including the goal which made it 3-2 so arguably the winner.

14th in a 2-1 win at home to Wigan.

15th in a 2-0 win away to Wigan.

16th in a 4-2 win at home to Reading.

17th in a 4-1 win against Norwich.

18th in the 5-1 win at Leeds scoring the 2nd again arguably the winner.

19th in the 8-0 win against Villa.

20th in the 5-1 win at Southampton in the FA Cup.

21st in a 2-1 win against Sunderland including the winner.

22nd in the 2-1 win against Benfica including the winner late on to win us the Europa League.

23rd in the 2-1 win against Villa earlier this season including the winner.

And yesterday was his 24th.

Rumours Azpilicueta and Cahill are set to be offered new contracts which will be great. Azpi is currently earning less than both Josh McEachran and Nathan Chalobah would you believe!

In what universe players come out to media and complain that new signing is a ****?

So wait let me get this straight ... You have basically decided to ignore all the evidence to the controrary and basically stick to your unsupported nonsense that no one in the Chelsea dressing room likes Eto'o?

No, you have basically decided he is great hero of the people because he scored two goals and shouted once at Willian, and basically ignored overwhelming evidence from 15 year career that points to Eto being a major ****.

Pat on Willian's tireless performance vs Yaya/City

Lol that's rubbish ... I decided he is a great hero because he puts huge effort on the pitch, actually looks like he cares about performing well and the club winning and every member of the squad has said that they respect and look up to him whereas you decide to ignore all evidence to the controrary and maintain that he is a pompous tool who is no good go Chelsea

Jose has gone back to the basics and sorted out our defense. Didn't even notice that we had the meanest defense in the country until now ... Great signs for next season. Once we get a striker who can put the ball in the net to add to Matic, we will have a phenomenal team

There are big rumours that Terry might leave due to the contract issue, and Luiz has been a target for Barca for quite some time. I doubt Zouma will immediately get game-time. He'll probably be a rotation option for now, at best. As of now, yes, it is pretty strong, but you'll probably need a CB signing in the summer.

Terry boost for Chelsea as inspirational skipper is set to accept one-year deal | Mail Online

Luiz is being played out of position just so he could play, it was opposite with Mata. The reason why Luiz doesn't get much game time in defense is we've been injury-free and Cahill-Terry are IMPECCABLE. Least shots allowed at goal, in league. A manager can't break that partnership. Luiz is young, he's DEFINITEY staying. And especially as long as we have Jose at helm, he's never selling to Barcelona, maybe Bayern.

I know about dailymail's credibility but Terry's under a manager who likes him, he is back to his best (close?) and he's blue through and through, academy product, our board isn't hesistant to pay his wages, the problem is he wants 2/3 years and Chelsea board have policy, I know he'll agree, he can't imagine playing for any other club. He'll hang is boots, come back is coach, take over Chelsea when Mourinho retires, then, WORLD DOMINATION..

Sorry, kinda got ahead of myself.

Nope, actually we are prepared to offer Terry a new contract and while he would like a 2/3 year one ... He is ready to accept a one-year contract with a minimal deduction to his wage. Deserves it as well after his performances this season. Luiz will only be sold if we get a great offer like we did for Mata in which case I am sure we will buy a proven CB like Mangala to step up instead of relying on Zouma. Their is no way in **** Ivanovic and Azpi are going to be sold, they are close to 'untouchables' under this regime

I for one am so glad Azpilicueta has been in favour under Mourinho this season even if it isn't his main position at RB after it looked like the first month or 2 he wasn't is Jose's plans when he didn't even get a look in. He has been fantastic at left back and hasn't complained once about not being played on his favorite side and has just got on with it. I think I can even remember him maybe saying in an interview something along the lines of he doesn't mind which side he is put on just as long as he is out on the pitch and playing for the club.

What signings these two were! 14mill for the pair of them what an absolute steel!

Saw this last night, and exactly the reason why Mata was allowed to leave absolutely tireless performance by Willian. I fully expect to see him in Brazil this summer.

Yeah, Azpi said he'd play all his life at left back if the manager wants him too. He's an absolute warrior on the pitch, doing his work quietly. His work rate is immense and I think Ivanovic will gradually slow down quite a bit, he's 29, he already gets skinned quite a lot, won't take long for Mourinho to move Azpi to right back once a quality left back comes in.

Two words - Luke Shaw

His price tag puts me off

Agreed although similar to the Matic deal, we may be able to get him at a lower price because he actually wants to play for us giving us considerable leverage. Shaw, a proper striker and a fit Van Ginkel will complete our squad imo

Cech made 2 world class saves, Brana scored the surprising winner, JT marshaled the side, Cahill made block after block header after header, Azpi stopped their quickest player from creating crossing chances, Matic bullied their midfield, Luiz mopped up everything, Willian is still running around the Etihad now, Hazard just took the **** and Eto'o did not stop closing City down.

priceless :))
