He'd only chose us if everything else is same, over say United, not if they offer Soton big money, shaw will most likely accept a contract from United as well. Sturridge is an Arsenal fan, Walcott is Liverpool fan, Wilshere is West Ham fan and so on, it'llbe another case just like that.

Point is, do we "want" to? Spending a 25M+ amount on a left back who definitely has potential to be WC might be worth it in long term, but it's still a wee bit too much. Or maybe I'm just spoiled because we got Cole for Gallas XD

Well Shaw is young, home-grown and already better than any young LB we currently have at the club. He can potentially give us 10-12 years of service. And he wants to play for Chelsea, whatever that's worth. It's a good investment imo
 
Reports suggesting Jose has decided against a pre-season tour this summer and instead Samsung will have a little tournament with a few clubs at Wembley. Very happy with this!

Random stat: Juan Mata started in all of Chelsea's 3 losses in the Premier League this season (Everton, Newcastle and Stoke).

Well it will be good if the club can hope over for a short tour to Asia to satisfy their growing contingent of fans here ... While it makes perfect practical sense, for a growing club like Chelsea, such tours are always more important

And ALL of them were away games. Less teams tend to park the bus at their own home. I think now Schurrle and Salah will share's Mata's minutes. Good for us, I won't have to see people moan about Juan Mata not playing even after a god **** win, even Luiz is playing, albeit in midfield.

People can call Eto'o what they want ... On the pitch he is a class act. Really hope we retain him and dump that sorry excuse for a striker called Torres
