How does that work? If Lukaku wants to stay, his agent gains nothing by telling everyone he wants to leave?

BBC Sport - Romelu Lukaku would consider leaving Chelsea to stay at Everton

He would consider leaving if Everton got CL football. The whole point is thate he doesnt want to rotate, because at his age he needs as much game time as he can get, hence why he left on loan in the first place.

Jose lie? Perish the thought...

And the pic on the Everton thread says a lot aswell imo

Martinez makes him feel wanted. I think if you got CL football you would make a bid for him.

Without a doubt-it would be fantastic to see him strutting his stuff at Goodison. Martinez's man management skills really are fantastic. We have the funds already. We just need 4th spot. And hopefully Arsenal have already lent a helping hand

Mike, we get it that you'd be happy to see Lukaku (a great talent) leave Chelsea. Let's just stop this pointless discussion. I'd at least not expected you to go on like this. You should know how agents are and what they want, or do you really believe Kroos and Gundogan want to come to United and not get raise on their VERY small wages compared to their ability?

Also, agents make a buttload in new contracts.

Umm ... His agent manages to get a better deal out of Chelsea by bluffing? Isn't that the oldest trick in the book? One article doesn't change the numerous times he has told the media that he wants to succeed at Chelsea and face it, no striker plays every game. He will have to rotate at any major club. Point is that he will get enough game time at Chelsea as it is. He is playing at his boyhood club under the best manager in the world (his words, not mine). Jose has said that he wants to keep him numerous times ... So why does he want to leave? Pray tell

Actually no, thats it at all, so you really dont get it. Do us both a favour and dont assume what I want.

He is happy to beat Jose with any stick ... Using some plainly ridiculous articles to 'summarize' all of his concerns as well. It's quite disappointing

No because his agent would get a cut of the contract extention anyway. A bluff doesnt work if your player says he wants to stay by the way. It kinda totally undermines the bluff.

And by the way, its not just about rotation, but how much he gets. Right now he is a regular starter. Which is what he needs. His own words are in the football focus, you might want to listen to it for yourself. I'm not Lukaku, so I cant answer that.

Boyhood clubs are irrelevant, players go play for clubs that arent their boyhood clubs all the time.

Unfortunately it is. You are happy to go against things you yourself have said previously. You are happy to use articles to back yourself up that you would never use otherwise. All to criticize Mourinho. We get it, you don't like him. It's understandable. But at least don't use ridiculous points to attack him

Dont be an idiot all your life. I wasnt beating Jose with any stick.

It's not. You assume that and you assume wrong.

It would be a hard sell. It would come down to what Chelsea do in the summer, and where he thinks he would standing the pecking order. Another loan might happen instead.

Cant his agent attempt to get a bigger contract extension by bluffing? Isn't that what Kroos' agent and numerous others have done countless times? Regular starter or not ... He will get enough game time at Chelsea either way. Mourinho said it himself at the start of this season as well before he left. I can't fathom why you would want to move clubs so that you can gain a extra two hundred minutes at a significantly smaller club that ...

1) Cannot pay him as much
2) Doesn't have Mourinho
3) Not his boyhood club

You gave one source which contradicts countless comments that Lukaku himself said otherwise. You are happy to believe the words of a football agent who has every incentive to bluff instead of the words of the player himself

But you know what, guess me and Ayush are the idiots and you are the only smart one around. Sorry for being a buffoon mate

It only works if you are on the same page, because then you can bluff. It doesnt work if you are saying different things.

You do realise he actually really likes Martinez, and really enjoys playing at Everton too? It's not cast in iron. As he said himself, he would consider a move if they finished in the CL.

If all you took from my point was criticism of Jose, then yes. since I was only talking about Lukaku's situation.

The source IS Lukaku. It's a football focus interview!

Unless Mourinho wants him out, Lukaku WON'T be sold. And every indication is that Mourinho wants him at Chelsea as indicated by how he wanted Lukaku to stay this season but Lukaku left because it was a WC year

Which contradicts everything he has said at other times. Both last season and this. He wants to succeed at Chelsea. Chelsea want him to succeed at the bridge (at least from what we can tell). However he won't put his career in jeopardy just to succeed at Chelsea. This is what he has been saying all the while. And his career won't be in jeaopardy if he stays at Chelsea next season because he will get enough game time according to Jose
