Ivanovic is pretty much playing right wing. He started the season brilliantly but has gone down hill and has definitely been our worst defender the past few months. People love moaning about Willians performances but it doesn't help he has to constantly track back and do ivanovics job for him because he is too busy upfront with diego costa.

First of all i'd just like to note that this will either be the last or the start of a decline in number of these pre-match previews that i do. I have managed to land myself another job which will involve me working away quite a bit so internet connection and free time could be very limited. On the plus side much of my work will be taking place in London so mid-week Chelsea games will be attended if i can get my hands on a ticket. Thanks for everyone who enjoyed/questioned/corrected these previews in the past.

UTC!!!

Next fixture, Capital One Cup Semi Final 2nd leg vs Liverpool (H) on 27/01/15 @19:45.

Our last result at the Bridge vs Liverpool 29/12/2013: Chelsea (Hazard, Eto'o) 2-1 (Skrtel) Liverpool.

Our biggest ever win at the Bridge vs Liverpool 28/08/1937: Chelsea (George Mills x3, William Mitchell, Harry Burgess, James Argue) 6-1 (Edwin Hartson) Liverpool.

Our biggest defeat at the Bridge vs Liverpool 16/12/1989: Chelsea (Gordon Durie, Kerry Dixon) 2-5 (Peter Beardsley, Ian Rush x2, Ray Houghton, Steve McMahon) Liverpool.

Our last League Cup tie vs Liverpool at the Bridge 29/11/2011: (5th round) Chelsea 0-2 (Maxi Rodriguez, Martin Kelly) Liverpool.

Chelsea's home league record this season: P-10, W-10, D-0, L-0, F-24, A-3.
Liverpool's away league record this season: P-11, W-6, D-0, L-5, F-16, A-16.

Our record at the Bridge vs Liverpool (all comps): Played-82, Won-44, Drawn-18, Lost-20, For-143, Against-85.

My stats of the week: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 6 meetings with Liverpool (W-3, D-3).

Liverpool have scored in each of their last 6 visits to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool have won 5 successive away games in all competitions since their 3-0 defeat at Man Utd in December.

Chelsea have scored at least twice in each of their last 13 games at the Bridge in all competitions.

My Stat of the week: Steven Gerrard has only managed to score 1 goal in 37 career appearances against Chelsea.

And assisted a few against Poololololol

Also **** me, I swear Ramires must have posters of Kalou on his wall or something.

Fantastic to go to another League Cup final. Let's hope we bring back the trophy

Additionally, it seems as if their is going to be a flurry of late transfer activity at SW6

Have to say, barring the obvious, Eden Hazard is the one player I genuinely fear playing against Liverpool

Outstanding player

I can't fault the boys tonight they put a real shift in, Hazard and Costa were exceptional, the only way Liverpool could stop Hazard was by fouling him, also Filipe Luis and Zouma were excellent tonight and I hope Mourinho lets Zouma keep his place in the starting 11 for the next game because he earned it with that performance. But the media sure are making a meal out of Costa's stamp on Can/Skrtel... Utter Rubbish.

I don't think so, if you look at Costa on Can never once does Costa look at Can he's always got his eyes on the ball. As for the one on Skrtel I don't think that was intentional either, at that speed I don't think Costa can change were his foot is landing and Skrtel leaves his studs in on Costa after anyway. Costa will get banned anyway because this whole thing stinks of a witch hunt, as for Suarez he was and still is a cheat.

I wouldn't be going mad if Balotelli did it because in the end Chelsea won the game. As for saying Costa's a cheat, you're way off, he likes a physical battle but that's far from being a cheat (It's called passion) and Costa respects defenders that give it back, he likes a battle.
