Porto's prolific Colombia international striker Falcao has agreed to extend his contract by two seasons until 2015. Chelsea had been heavily linked with a move following their appointment of Andre Villas-Boas.

good, never really needed him especially for the 20m+ price he would command

Are you for real? All these days you lot said 26 Million is nothing and AVB got the best out of him and would love to see him at Chelsea, now that there are rumors that Falcao signed new contract you came up with "We dont want and he is overpriced".

umm as I recall none of us were excited at all... most of us were skeptical because Falcao plays best through the centre and we cant have that as we have to accomodate El Nino who is by far still the better player

but tbh we need someone like Kun who I think can play on the left while Falcao is best through the centre and we already have Torres

And I agree, I doubt we are in for Lukaku anymore as our interest seems to have cooled off massively as soon as AVB took the reins

Having Villa looks like a dream that will never happen according to me... much more sense to buy Falcao who is younger if we are in for a striker that is

Rumours all week of Falcao joining and when u consider that AVB knows how to get the best out of him, 25m could easily be a bargain...

on the other hand AVB knows how to get the best out of Falcao while he does not know how to do so with Drogba-Torres, even if he does get that partnership to work, how long can it go on for... 2-3 seasons until Drogba starts to lose his ability whilst if AVB manages to get Falcao-Torres to work, then we have a deadly partneship than can go on for years

Idk tbh... we need someone of Falcao's mould tbh, if AVB can get the best out of him then I dont see why not... Falcao can really be a hit plus he will be relatively cheap, 26m is not that much when u consider all the positives in our favour, if that happens we should kiss Neymar goodbye

Although I would consider Moutinho a better buy, we need someone like him in the midfield

lol... 26m for Falcao is not alot tbh plus he has admitted he wants to come to Chelsea if AVB is our new manager which is great, a good cheap player who can offer us loads

we should go for them, In falcao we get a brilliant striker with a manager who knows how to get the best out of him while I am not 2 sure about what Moutnho can offer, care to enlighten me guys

Yes. You didn't want him.

opinons change ;) i was more going down the line that if AVB wants him then I am happy, its not like I am crying myself silly he is not coming, in my mind i was 50-50 and other Chelsea fans were more skeptical than me

Was going to post this last night but the internet went off...

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this already and I was going to AGES ago, but forgot. Anyway, it's a piece on Lucas Piazon and his move to Chelsea, also a video message for the fans at the bottom. Interview with Chelsea signing Lucas Piazon – full version « Pitaco do gringo's Brazilian football site

Also unsure whether this has been posted, but...today websites (unreliable ones, but I think there's some more reliable Brazilian ones reporting it) have been reporting that in the Deco deal Chelsea were allowed half the rights of three Fluminense youngsters. So Chelsea sent a scout out to watch them and picked out Ronan (left back), Wallace (right back), who Wenger was reportedly interested in and Pernão (striker). This means that we own around 50% of their rights and will have the first option for buying them after their 18th birthday. This was reported in the Brazilian media who were told all of this by Ronan. When we were battling with City for Pernão it was reported that we had got the first option for signing him, but I don't think it was revealed that it would be a part of the Deco deal.

I have heard good things about all three and they are all very highly rated, but I haven't watched them myself. Obviously FM isn't always that accurate, but here are the screenshots of Pernão and Wallace just to give you an idea of their best attributes and their position/s. Ronan wasn't old enough to be on the game at the time of release, I believe.

I'm in Spain, so I haven't been on much this week, but I've been checking for transfer news etc. at night or in the morning, but the internet is terrible and doesn't stay on for long and then doesn't work for about 10 hours.

And yeah we definitely need a young RB coming in to the squad, whether that's Clifford, Kane or somebody from outside of the club like Wallace. I've also heard that Sam Hutchinson might be training with the team again. I really doubt it's true, but I hope it is was a real shame he had to retire.

Seems Chelsea are still in for Romelu Lukaku as Anderlecht chief Herman van Holsbeeck is set to arrive in London for talks with Chelsea via SkyGraemeBailey
