where did u see these from?

Got it wrong it was 87% for Modric. I don't know of a website that tells you them, sorry. Just searched in to Google "Pastore pass completion" and "Modric pass completion". Loads of stats on OptaJoe Twitter page ( Twitter ) but you'll have to scroll through loads of tweets to find what your looking for...if it's even been posted that is, or you can send a tweet asking for a certain stat.

i see. theres gotta be some place for statistics.. how otherwise would the football commentators know all these numbers...

Plenty of options, Opta/ESPN Soccernet/UEFA/Eurosport/Local Media/Other statistics providers that slip my mind...

I use ESPN soccernet website, pretty indepth with players stats etc.

Yeah I use it for assists and goals.

Unfortunately I think the only place for passing stats etc. is OptaSports (I think), which is where most sport media companies get their stats from, but you have to pay to access to them.

As above. Commentators get stats from Opta. On SSN you'll notice if they post some stats it will say 'Provided by OPTA' or something like that.

WhoScored have passing statistics of the best passers, probably of the bad ones aswell, but they won't feature in a blog called "top 10 best key passers" ;)

I think Pastore's passing success rate is around 75% which is fairly low.

Okay.

Xavi = probably the best playmaker weve seen(excluding Zidane) has 10 assist for Barca (total)
Drogba has 17(total)

how about that:>

His pass completion rate is like 95% aswell, his job is to pass it up to the front axis and then they can assist each other.

On the topic of Pastore or Modric. Modric is a natural CM, Pastore is an AMC. Modric has his best qualities in the passing game, Pastore is just as good a dribbler and finisher as he is a passer, but he isn't as good a passer as Modric in my opinion.

Agreed. I think he has good enough passing to be one of the best passers (around the level of Modric's), but it lacks consistency.

This is one man we cant do without!! Just hope its nothing, i wouldnt even play him in our tour. Maybe in our final game against Rangers but lets be honest he dosent need the minutes and its not like his place is in doubt. Also he praises Tomas Kalas's 45minutes against Pompey in saying "Against Portsmouth he made no mistake at all during the half," said Cech. "He did superbly, but he is not going to Asia because he is to take part in the European Under-19 Championships.

And people say Chelsea have no youth comming through, bla bla ******* bla lol.

Boas to make decisions on squad on tour including Sturridge:

"This is one of the decisions we have to take," said the Portuguese tactician. "Daniel is a very, very interesting player with a tremendous future. The individual is highly regarded by myself. "I have 15 days in Asia to make the best decision and I need those four games to continue to assess.

"When we get back from Asia we have a week running into the Rangers game and I think from then on a decision will have to be taken to be ready for the first game of the season." "Then again it does not mean that we won't be active after that, because the market always gets very frenetic in the last days and you never know what will happen." It was put to Villas-Boas that the players must feel as though they are on trial at the moment, but he said: "No, I don't think so.

"I think the opposite because I gave them that flexibility from the beginning. "Normally people would expect you to arrive at Chelsea and make radical changes and we are taking everything on board and making the right decisions. "Again our arrival is much more about freeing these players and finding their talent rather than making radical changes."

He also spoke about the fact he dosen't need to change much on what Ancelotti built:

"I am still evaluating things at the moment," he said after watching his side defeat Portsmouth 1-0 in a pre-season friendly at Fratton Park. "It is not that I have to change things radically and I will take it step by step. "I think it is pretty obvious that we will go into the market at one time or the other but not with radical changes to the team. "The team will keep itself (together) and most of the players.

"(On Saturday) it was important for us to show the fans the future of Chelsea and you could see that in the number of (young) players we had on the pitch. "We had a 16-year-old (Nathan Chalobah) on the pitch - that promises a lot. "He is English, he has a future and these are all things the fans must see."

Good to see him sticking to his words and not making many decisions on the squad just yet. Like i keep saying this squad wasen't a million miles away from winning the league last season and if it wasen't for a handfull of problems than erose at the same time things would have been very different.

Correct me if I am wrong but Chelsea have a couple of friendlies being shown on sky sports for some pre season tourne or something? I think its good a couple of games will be shown on sky sports as it gives the fans who dont have cfc tv a chance to watch a few friendlies and get an early taster or the side under AVB

Yup, we are in a tournement with Kitchee, Blackburn and Aston Villa. We will play Kitchee in the first game and the winner will play the winner of Blackburn and Villa and the 2 losers will play in a 3rd/4th playoff both 3 days later. But yes all 4 games will be shown on SkySports.

Time to sell?? I think so, especially as he only has a year left on his contract.
