Even if Alvaro does join it won't make much difference in terms of depth. Due to the PL squad rules, we'd still have to sell in order to buy.

I can only see one more player coming in, no more. Yossi Benayoun seems to be hinting he's the one on the way out.

Juan Mata going back to the Mestilla earlier than he would have thought.

Porto expecting a new bid for Pereira tomorrow morning.

Likely to be somewhere in the region of 23m euros.

Suspect that is around Chelsea's limit, anywhere past 24m euros and I think Chelsea will just pull the plug.

Also some reports in France that there is a possibility on the table of a Malouda to Lyon plus 7m deal for Bastos if Pereira falls through.

VERY unlikely, for a start I'm fairly sure Bastos is cup tied having played in the UCL qualifiers for Lyon...

No-go story in my opinion.

beautiful.

The thing with Juan Mata is that he was brought up very well by his father... his father made him finish school and even study Business at University and his sister has lived all alone in England working for a PR Agency, his father made sure Mata was not broken when he was not offered a contract at Madrid despite being touted as one of the top talents around and look how much his career has progressed, Juan Mata probably left the biggest club in the world and has not looked back since

Really wish more parents like him were around

His Dad didn't make him go to uni, he didn't want to be dependant on football, so he did a degree in marketing and sports science, but the way his Dad brought him up was a large part of him choosing that. Yeah I was talking about his Sister last week; lives in Brighton, but she doesn't work for a PR agency, she did graduate in PR though, but she works for an SEO company.

But yes, his parents did a very good job bringing up him and his Sister, shame there's not more footballers brought up better.

To be fair Yossi knew it was just a Mata of time before he had to give his number up...

out of all the people, why are we pushing Yossi out of the door, he looked good in Pre-Season and I thought he had a huge role to play for us this season
