Hearing Juan Mata will wear the #13 shirt.. Anyone heard anything on this?

I haven't heard anything but it would make sence.

if i'm correct, he should be available for the norwich game?

Depends when the deal is fully completed but i would expect so. Even if it is i dont think AVB will start him.

how many people here understand spanish? ;_;

Quite a few. I don't, but I can understand the key bits and I was just posting it for anyone interested, not forcing anyone to listen. Finished now anyway.

Some people saying he's been promised number 10. Lots of rumours Yossi is leaving and he's been tweeting a lot of stuff like "I'll have news on my future soon" so seems he could be going and he hasn't once said something that implies he's staying. Mata will be number 10 or 13 I'm fairly sure of that. Hope to get confirmation of his number tomorrow though and then I can finally order the new away with Mata on the back :)

Be aware that's Nigerian dollars, £15m or so.

I don't think so, if it is then it's an error by NBC. Nigeria's currency is called Nigerian naira and the symbol is an 'N' with a line through it, so why would they use a dollar sign when Nigeria don't use dollars? And if you look at the article it says Mikel earns $5.8 million a year, which is about right in USD, but in Nigerian naira it would be peanuts, so surely they wouldn't switch between two currencies without specifying (and use the wrong currency sign for Nigerian money).

Hmm, maybe so, but I have seen it referred to as the Nigerian dollar by some news outlets.

I wouldn't imagaine such a fee for a kidnapping of a footballer's father.

Here is a translated version of Mata's farewell earlier today.
I used Google Translate, sorry if some sentences sound strange.

Mata says goodbye in an emotional press conference

It was an emotional farewell, crowded, hundreds of fans have come to say goodbye to Paterna Juan Mata, which has now fired from his colleagues, club employees and supporters of the club has allowed to consolidate in the First Division and in the selection Spanish.

Juan Mata came to Paterson at six in the afternoon to conduct a press conference in which he thanked the love and support he has received from around the Valencia. During the press conference was accompanied by almost all his fellow costumes.

Valencia Mata said goodbye with these words:

I'm not sure where to start, how to express in words what I have experienced all four seasons at Valencia. What I want to convey is thanks to all of Valencia, all the people I lived with these four wonderful years. First to thank the club because when I was 19, when he came from a Second Division team, the club opted for me and I thank them. From conversations with Manuel Llorente, he knows that I rejected important offers cheaper and less profitable for the club, but when it was Chelsea asked him to listen. My output is worth it, but I think for the profitability of the club and step I take to meet another league was the time, so let them know Manolo. The Chelsea's offer was important and I think it makes sense to what has been done. I want to thank colleagues with whom I have shared, those who are here as friends to others as I have not been so treated but I have improved thanks to everyone and I fulfilled a dream to be captain of this club. A thank my colleagues, I always take with me. People who are in Paterna, which people traveling, everyone makes it one of the best clubs in the world in the humane treatment. I do not want to forget the press, I think these four seasons I have seen the greatness of this club and the fans that this team, thank you for the good times, for the ill who have helped me to improve.
And finally I want to say goodbye to the fans. In the summer of 2007, when hardly any people playing and told me that he wanted to meet this guy coming from Madrid and until today I never had one but I have no words to describe how I feel when I think the fans of Valencia. In Valencia I have home, family, friends, an amazing rock, ... Thank you for everything you did for me. If you never imagined could be captain, never expect to have a rock with my name. And I wish the club the best, I'm sure that marked the wishes will be fulfilled, I hope we meet in the final of the Champions. I rejoice in the victories, suffer the losses.

Here is the Spanish version from his site: Juan Mata Valencia C.F >> Web Oficial

After the Press Conference he cried when he said farewell to Llorente and Emery.

If he shows Chelsea Football Club half the loyalty he showed Valencia then he will be here for a while.

I love footballers like Mata and Lukaku; intelligent and loyal (so far anyway).

Ryan Bertrand retweeted SkySports link about the possible move, then tweeted this.
