Re VDW, already been asked.
Not a chance, Bayern/Chelsea not keen on him after he had such a poor season. Ajax would sell for 7m pounds but no one is offering because he had such a poor season. Wildest story I've seen on talksport all summer.
DI SANTO bagged 2!
I'm not surprised, had him in my FT for a reason. He's already hit the woodwork twice and won a penalty in the previous 2 games shouldn't surprise anyone he's scored.
And I'm strangely glad (To an extent) that Drog can take a 3-4 week rest now because lets face it he's not been the same for a year and a rest can only do him good. When him and Mikel go to the ACON Romeu/Lukaku will get their chance I'm sure of it.
Anyone wondering why Chelsea played a 4-4-2 variation, answers fairly simple when you look at the two strikers who will be at Chelsea in 3 years time...Lukaku and Torres can't play in a 4-3-3 together that's clear so the idea has to be (going forward) a formation incorporating two strikers.
Overall, decent display and Ramires played well but still feel the central midfield is lacking a playmaker.
And re Wilshere tweet on Mata cutting McEachran's chances, why does everyone think Mata is a CAM/CM?
It really annoys me, he's a winger who can on occasion play centrally (And even then CAM not CM), baffling comparison between McEachran and Mata.
But overall a solid display, Bosingwa is living up to what most of us expected when AVB signed...A rejuvenation of Bosingwa's career back to being a WC right back and he is getting there.
On the bright side Chelsea have cover for Mikel+Drogba for the African Cup of Nations which is more than most clubs can say.
(Romeu and Lukaku)
Interested to see if this latest Hilary **** up prompts a purchase of an old 'safe hands' GK on a one year contract to act as backup. If Friedel was still free I wouldn't have minded him, I'll say what everyone is thinking...
I want Carlo back as backup, Spurs don't need him really.
Carlo was better backup than the 2 who are backup now.
Hilary is costing a goal a game, the Long goal was his mistake...
Should have stayed on his line, I don't mind Hilary but for gods sake there should be better backup than that at Chelsea.
No way was it Hilario's fault, Alex is 99% to blame and 1% Bosingwa because the pass to Alex was hit abit hard.

btw does anyone know which site can I download photos from? I mean like PA Photos.. photos taken by photographers at stadiums![]()
Hilario rushed him and opened up the shot for Long, if he stays on his line it gives Bosingwa/Alex a chance to get back.
Clearly the fact that Long got through was the pair of defenders fault but if Hilario stays big around his line Long doesn't pull a trigger shot and he has a chance of saving it. Hilary tries but the facts be facts that he simply is not good enough to play week in week out while Cech is injured...
Terrible positioning, he didn't close the angles he opened them right up and ended up flat on his backside:

Sorry cant agree, Long is a fantastic finisher and even with Cech in goal i think he would have scored. Why sign another keeper when Cech is back in 2 games time
Also Juan Mata is the first Chelsea player to score on his debut since George Weah 10years ago.
Deco.
