Thats my worry mate, our current youth batch is the best the club has seen since the mid 1960's when the likes of Osgood, Venables, Benetti and Harris came through. At the start of this season i thought it was the right time for the likes of Bruma, Van Aanholt, Kakuta to step up but as the season went on i thought they lacked expirience. Thats why i was happy when they went out on loan for the remainder of the season and again i think they could be ready but with yet again a new manager he cant afford to play youngsters.

Yes, when the Manager's job is not long term they can harldy concentrate on bringing youth players. Roman has spent so much to improve academy facilities but the way he is firing managers it looks like a waste of money..

Have heard that Paddy Van Aanholt has signed a 4year contract extension at Chelsea.

Yer definatly deserves them mate, looks a real talent.

Yep definitely, will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets. Another thing is I hope whoever our manager is next season that he likes to give youngsters a chance because I don't want our good youngsters missing out.

Don't know whether this was mentioned, but I think it was last week (maybe longer maybe more recently) Ben Sampayo, Bobby Devyne, Michael Woods and Jan Sebek were released could have been a few more, but they're the ones I remember.

Just a little bit about my views on the possible cadidates to be our next manager in order of bookies favourite (the bookies i am using is Betfred, other betting outlets are available).

Marco Van Basten: Sensational footballer but not really proven at any managerial level. Does have his plus's though and they are that he will most proberly play 4-3-3 and has many contacts in the game which will help in the market (if he gets any say in transfers). Im on the fence about this one but would be persuaded if Hiddink came in to assist him while he gets the expirience.

Andre Villas-Boas: Although he hasent been a manager long and i believe he is only 34 he has proven himself in the 2 years of management he has had. Plays a great brand of football and has a Mourinho swagger about him. Has also been part of Chelsea's set up before under Mourinho so would know the club well and speaks great English. Would be a gamble but a gamble i would be content with, saying that i would want to give him time and we all know Jose dosent do time.

Guus Hiddink: Not much needs to be said about this man as everyone at Chelsea know all about him. Whether its as manager/directer/assisting a manager i think all Chelsea fans want to see Guus back at Chelsea in some capacity

Harry Redknapp: Most people know my reservations about Harry and they way every club he has managed seems to end up in the **** financialy. Although it would be kind of nice to have a British manager as we havent had one since Hoddle in 1995 i dont think this is the right route. Although it would be harder for Harry to financialy ruin Chelsea its obivous he likes full control of transfers and he wont get that at Chelsea. Next England manager yes but not for Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho: Many may be suprised but i dont want to see Jose back at the Bridge. If he comes back and fails (at Chelsea that means finishing 2nd apparently) and everything goes **** up then he will be rememberd for his 2nd spell at the club and thats not fair. Jose Mourinho has gone down as Chelsea best manager in the 106year history of the club so lets keep it that way and possibly effect it.

Pep Guardiola: For me it wont happen, he has just signed a year extension with Barca and although i know he wants to work in London one day i dont think he is ready to leave Barca yet. Although if he does if he can being Messi with him i will be pretty happy.

Frank Rijkaard: Had a great spell at Barca but has found it hard to hold down a job since. I question his ability to manage big ego's and Chelsea are full of them. Not for me.

Rafa Benitez: Proberly the best choice if Roman really wants to turn the Chelsea fans against him (roll on the blue and white campain). Has one plus and that is he might be able to get Torres back to his best but that is all. No thanks.

David Moyes: Proven in the PL but not proven at a club that has abit of cash. I wouldnt mind it if he was guarrenteed time but again he wont be.

Didier Deschamps: Former Chelsea player but i cant see it as a feesable option as of yet.

Gianfranco Zola: One day i would love him to have a crack at managing Chelsea but for me he isent ready yet. Needs to either come in as a coach/assistant or go back to managing at a lower level and work his way up.

There are more candidates obviously but i dont see many of them as possabilities.

If Roman picks Van Basten, and it goes pearshaped there's going to be absolute **** on. Nothing against Chelsea, but the next time Carlo gets a job, I hope he comes back to haunt Roman, because it will be fully deserved.
But anyway, they should go for Hiddink

1. Another plus for AVB is that he has won a Premiere European Competition, Europa League perhaps but I am sure Roman has known AVB since beforehand and if Roman has really made up with Mourinho as many people claim, surely Mourinho will reccommend his protege for the job at Stamford Bridge, a Treble this season with Porto including an unbeaten season will be more plus' for AVB, I am sure Roman will heavily consider him

2. Again like you I would not want Marco Van Basten, the man is just not proven at a managerial level yet, btw Jacko having a external party like Hiddink helping him out while he is managing is not going to work, there should only be 1 manager and the fella should know what he is doing

3. I would love to see Hiddink at Chelsea in any capacity, whether it is an advisor type of role or Director of Football, I dont think he will be the new manager

4. I do not want Harry and I am sure Roman will not pay any attention to him, although he has done well in the CL, this has lead to Spurs finishing outside the top 4 in the League and his dealings in the transfer market are not what I'd call brilliant

5. I'd love to see Mourinho back, say what you like Jacko but if the Special One comes back, I'd assure you he will have a greater spell than his first one

6. I do not want Guardolia, he has won many trophies but with a super team, he has hardly had any real challenge to face such as a cranky owner or lack of funds or out of form players

7. Frank Rijkaard is not for me, has not done much in the past few years and I have my doubts on whether he has the mustard to cut it at the Premiereship

8. I would sooner die rather than see Rafa Benitez manage Chelsea, although he will definetly be considered a strong contender due to the fact that he knows how to get the best out of Torres and is a CL winner, I hope some guy still puts some sense into Roman's brain and makes sure he does not make the situation about a 100X times worse and sign Benitez

9. David Moyes is a great manager but again, no success at all in Premiere European Competitions and Everton have been becoming worse and worse in the league which is no fault of his own, still unproven at big clubs and would rather see someone else

10. Didier Deschamps has won Ligue 1 and theoritacally is a strong contender but I have anagging voice in my mind that he wont be considered to a great extent

11. Quite inexperienced, would love to see him in any coaching capacity at the Bridge tho

This is my prediction come July:

Andre-Villas-Boas (Manager)

Zola (Assistant Manager)

Hiddink (Chief Scout and Director of Football)

would be great if this happens

Who I don't want as manager:

Harry Redknapp - he's a good manager, but he's irritating and I don't like his starting line-ups - or formation for that matter.
David Moyes - Pretty much the same reasoning as Redknapp.
Rafael Benitez - Good manager, but makes too many transfer market mistakes and I don't really like him (same with Moyes and Redknapp)

Ones I wouldn't mind:

Marco van Basten
Didier Deschamps
Frank Rijkaard
Pep Guardiola

Andre Villas-Boas - In a way I would love him because he's young and an exciting manager, but it would be risky.
Guus Hiddink - As good as a manager he is and nice guy I would rather see him as maybe Director of Football supporting a young manager because he's 64 now and I want a long-term manager with years ahead of him to stay around for years to come - I know I'm dreaming with Abramovich as the owner but y'never know!

Ones I would love:

Jose Mourinho - I kind of agree with what you say, but he's a legend and I don't want to see him at United.
Gianfranco Zola - It's too early for him, but if we have him with Guus Hiddink to help him then it could work. He's basically the reason I love Chelsea and to see him manage us would be amazing.

That would be AMAZING! Not sure how Zola would feel being assistant to someone younger than him, though.

Maybe if they were joint manager, then that would be amazing!

Roman wouldn't pick Moyes anyway tbh-he prefers yes men, and Moyes wouldn't stand for it. He's not a gentleman and speaks his mind. That would upset Roman.

Joint Manager, that does not sound right tbh, I am sure Zola does not have to be an assistant manager but can be a coach *** Assistant Manager who is involved largely in tactics and training, I am sure AVB (hopefully) if he becomes our manager will definetly welcome Zola's experience on board, come to think of it, I am sure AVB and Zola know each other to a certain extent, add Hiddink's experience and ability to the mix and we got a winning combination

doubt we are going to get 'El Kun', very talented but I'd rather we go for Neymar and Lukaku and Van Der Wiel...

I dont know mate. Aguero is one of my favs out there. So I want him desperately. I also want Neymar and Lukaku, but I cant see Lukaku coming this summer. He will stay at least one more year maybe. IDunow.

idk mate, I'd rather we sign Neymar, a couple of young fullbacks for either side of the flank and:

Hiddink as Director of Football

Zola as *** Manager

AVB as Manager

Just browsing the names going around on here... Lukaku, Neymar, Aguero.......Imagine that front 3! not sure Roman's pockets are deep enough these days, probably 1 at most for now

It will be ****** beautiful. But its unlikely tbh :)

they are mate :), he is going to go on a spending spree this summer in my opinion, his last hurrah before the Financial Fair Play Rules set in

I cant imagine that, cause its unreal to say the least :) Romans pockets are deep enough for sure, he just wont spend that kind of money.. I mean, we have Torres, Drogs, Kalou, Anelka, Sturridge ... We should get red of two of them, at least, if we want Lukaku, Torres, Neymar, Aguero. Btw, Aguero is capable of playing on the flank, so is Neymar. So Torres and Lukaku as strikers, it will be freakin hot.
BUT AS I SAID, its unreal :)
