Well you are a Chelsea fan so there's no way you'll obviously say he isn't the best (not criticizing you, I'd do the same for someone like van Persie). Cole maybe first choice but like ajt said, he is on the decline and isn't as good as he used to be, that's why I think Baines is better than him right now.

That may be the way you work but it certainly isen't the way i work. If that was the case i would say Bosingwa is the best RB in the country Terry the best CB so on and so forth. Me thinking Cole is the best LB is a valid point shared by loads of people not just me, if Baines was better then Cole then he would be England's current number 1 LB simple as that. Baines is still in-consistant as Cole isen't. Its obvious other things get in the way of peoples footballing judgement of Cole, always has done and always will do.

Fair enough, you have your opinion I have mine.

hearing things about Ganso moving to England and especially to Shity or Chelsea?

Almost certain to go to AC Milan in January/next Summer.. They've been front runners for a long time.

Am I the only one who thinks Lahm isn't that great at LB? RB yes, but I'm not that convinced by him on the left.

Well I do agree with the fact that he is probably better on the right flank than he is on the left, but nonetheless personally I'd rate him as the best even as a LB. Plus, if I'm not wrong, that's where he started out playing initially.

How is that bias, its a valid point simple as that me supporting Chelsea has nothing to do with it at all. Remind me again who is currently England's first choice LB???

Barry is England's first choice CM and Heskey was first choice striker. That doesn't mean they are the best. On current form Baines and Enrique are ahead of Cole.

Not a certain as it was in the summer now.

Disappointed there's no McEachran on the bench or starting. Also disappointed there's no Mata starting, but I can understand him being rested - would help Torres though.

Torres hits the post.

Meireles gets his first goal for Chelsea.

Torres! First Champions League goal. :)

What a start! Glad Torres has got on the score sheet, hopefully he can get another (or two).

At the World Cup, it was fairly clear to EVERYONE that Joe Hart was the best English keeper around, yet wasn't first choice goalkeeper. It may be inexperience that is keeping Leighton Baines out of the English side, maybe Capello still wants some of the old guard still in the team as a wise-head. But I think using the argument of 'first choice left back for England' is bit of a flawed one.

If anyone doubted it before - Fernando Torres is back.

But you can't possibly argue with that! He used CJACKO's famed 'simple as that' which automatically makes that sentence right!
