Ajt, I like you, but that was a truly stupid thing to say. It sounded like something a Mail journalist would vomit up after a night out. Don't make me destroy you with long paragraphs of doom. ;)

That's why I said. After all the windy up things you've given me thought it was time for a bit of revenge. And it worked (6)

And just to confirm, never ever read the guardian, mail, sun, mirror. Don't bother with papers tbh

Lies, you're obviously racist. :)

Because northerners can't read, duh.

I used to be a chav-though around that time they were called trendies. I had terrible fashion sense :(

No...no no no. Not this time lol. I scored a point against you and I'm not going to get suckered like many times before though lol. Besides, getting pre match nerves and can't think of a witty retort. However I will say, I'm a southerner. Born in Plymouth. Hah!!!

If that's true, why didn't you choose to support a good team? I mean, even Plymouth would be better. They probably have more money than Everton, anyway. :D

ANYway. Back on topic. £2 million for a 14 year old is quite a gamble, but he's got to be good if he costs that much at such a young age. I look forward to seeing him progress.

Certainly got me intruiged after reading the article. Going to see if can find some footage of the lad somewhere

its a massive massive gamble in my opinion, their is a much higher chance of him turning out to be not so good but i have my fingers crossed that he has the potential which made us pay 2m for him

Last 5 Minutes possession:80-20

Daaaamn.

Sturridge :D

Mikel passed the ball 96 times today with 97% accuracy in 77 mins. Terry passed the ball 97 times with 96% accuracy. Not bad.

Think we attempted 577 passes with a 90% completion rate.

I know - great stuff! Lamps attempted like 90 passes and Mata about 70 too. Can't wait until we get into full flow with this new approach - most importantly in defence, although I thought we defended a lot better despite conceding another.

I am actually really looking forward to the Genk game just to see Torres back in the line-up, Drogba was out of sorts for most of the game today and we looked lethargic at the best of times, Torres and Luiz returning to the line-up along with Meirless will give us some much needed energy and vitality

And Oriol Romeu looked very good when he came on... I am suprised the media talk so less about him considering that AVB might have just snagged the bargain of the century with him

So young and despite being injured for most of last season, he still got a chance to play in the Barca first-team and numerous Barca coaches have predicted him to be a key player for them one day alongside Thiago and we got him for a mere 6m

u remember that he could be going next OR the summer after for like 10 mil ? :) (if he comes good)

AVB on Mata's role - "It's all interrelated with his colleagues. The talent in this squad is so immense and the technical staff's job is just to free the players. When they play with freedom of choice, they can express themselves a little bit better."

AVB on the win - ''We have done nothing else than our responsibilities in winning the games that we have won at home. We have not done anything special. We just have to continue to win until we find a position of comfort at the top of the Premier League, because that's what we want."

Saying all the things that we haven't heard since Mourinho, Ancelotti was elegant but coy and Hiddink/Grant had the charisma of a dry seal.

Saying all the right things, the philosophy of 'do the basics right technically and the talent will shine through' is working brilliantly. Already getting 60% possession a game but crucially it's different to the possession of Ancelotti's era which was slow passing and mechanical movement.

Ramires scored again, putting another nail in the coffin of his critics.

I was disappointed with their goal but it was well worked by Everton with their 6 vs 4 line at the set piece something was bound to get through eventually. Always a tricky opponent with a 'tricky' style of play home or away, we dealt with them well.

Honestly, it was more fun watching a rock than seeing Grant get interviewed... but anyways Mata was the MOM for me, he was superb and his vision is immense

El Nino and Luiz returning to the starting line-up for the Genk game, desperately needed them to add some energy and vitality

Chelsea should play delac more often instead of chec cause chec is getting older and not quite as good(still amazing though) but in smaller matches(eg league cup etc)

Well considering he didnt play a single league game for Vitesse last season and is back out on loan this season plus he dosen't have an English work permit i think it would be hard to play him. Cech is 29 mate, that is still young for a keeper and when he does decide to go i think Courtios is better positioned to take his place considering he is Atletico Madrid's number 1 already at the age of 20.

YOUTH REPORT: PORTSMOUTH 1 CHELSEA 2 | The Academy News | The Academy | Players & Staff | Chelsea

Just to keep an ongoing theme going the lad we signed (tapped up) from Celtic scored on his debut for our acadamy at the weekend ina 2-1 win over Portsmouth.

Was at the game Saturday and it was a decent performance by us yet again. Its good to actually see some of the media actually go back on their word and now believe we will be in the title race. Mata was sensational yet again and even had a few chants of la la la la Zola from where i was sitting, was the best perfromance from Ashley Cole i have seen this season too. Sturridge if one of the hottest players in England maybe even Europe at the moment and could very well be our top scorer this season.

Apparently Genk have no defenders available for their game against Chelsea due to injuries. Anyone know how true this is?
