Great win for the Blues, left it a bit late but meh... a win is a win

And those of you slagging off AVB for putting out a strong team, I dont think he did it because he is scared of pressure from the fans tbh, i think all the signs point to the fact that Roman has understood the need for stability and is willing to stick with AVB whatever happens this season

I think the reason AVB sent out a strong team was because...

Having just got back to winning ways, I am sure AVB was anxious to go on a winning run and ensure we had momentum going into the crucial second half of the season, their is no point putting out a young team and then losing which will not only get us kicked out of the FA Cup (Our best hope for a trophy this season) but also put the squad in a depleted mood going into the next few games.

I feel AVB wanted to ensure a win and not risk a draw/loss.
 
Decent win in the end but i didn't think we started playing until Malouda was bought off, he has got so poor now its not even funny. Once he came off Romeu went and done the holding work and Ramires was allowed to venture forward with devastating effect scoring 2 good goals. Just glad i wont get any stick off my Pompey mates haha UTC!!!

He has been doing Torres job scoring goals and Torres has been doing his job getting assists this season!

Hopefully he'll get a loan move, along with Bertrand and Hutchinson. It seems AVB can little afford to play either at the moment. Swansea will suit McEachran and if the move does happen hopefully he'll be as good for Swansea as Studge was for Bolton.

Regarding Bertrand and Hutchinson. I fear, as both of them are 22 (I think), that the boat may have sailed for them. However, I could be terribly wrong baring in mind Hutchinson's long lay-off and Bertrands lack of experience for Premier League clubs. If any of our youths are going to be loaned to another club it has to be a Premier club.
