Should be plain sailing for Chelsea tonight. Barcelona will be the real test.

There is no way i would sit back against Benfica. 4-2-3-1 Mata behind Torres, and get a pressing passing game on quickly for the first hour, get one or two then. Force Benfica to come at you late on, then switch to the 4-3-3 counter attack with Drogba spearheading.

1 - Chelsea have conceded fewer goals at home than any other team in the Champions League this season. Favourites.

Only takes 1 goal and that counts for nothing, relying on pressure and playing on counter at Stamford Bridge just seems risker to me than if you actually started and took the game to them to see if you can grab a goal cos then they at least need 2 to get back in to the tie.

Although we are all speculating here, he probably will play defensively on the counter though. Just seems riskier in my opinion, it is not like they are a better team man for man.

At home we tend to come out the blocks very quickly and i expect that tonight. If we get the early goal then its as good as game over. I know we risk getting caught on the counter ourselves and conceding but even if we did it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I guess we will find out :)

Luisao is a big loss for them in defence if he does not play though. If Chelsea play well they should grab a few goals at least.

It's absolute madness, we have FOUR injured center backs! Unless Luisao makes a miraculous recovery, we'll have to play Emerson and Javi Garcia on the center!

But there is a slight hope that Luisao can recover, in that case, Emerson will go to the center, Capdevila to the left, and Javi Garcia to midfield, if this were to happen, our chances improve, since I am 99% sure that Emerson will do much better in the center -__-

Emerson in the centre? Torres would have a field day.

I prefer him back at fullback especially if Ramires plays, he raped him so much in the first leg Emerson still can't sit down.

Emerson's case is a delicate one.
The man didn't play that bad in the begginign of the season, and ****, he plays much better away than at home, because our supporters are ALWAYS booing the poor guy, he can't play decently, he's under pressure all the time, he gets the ball and they're booing him already, he's not easy to beat in 1-1, has good heading skills and good tactical intelligence, his main problem are fast strikers or wingers, that's why he should never ever be used in difficult games, cause with weaker oposition he hardly makes a mistake.

I hope Emerson plays, no matter what position. I just need him to be there 'for you'.

I'd answer that but then I'd be "disrupting" the thread and end being the incorrect one here and infracted again ;)

Seriously, better play Gaitan at the leftback than Emerson. He just cant run, at least Gaitan is fast. I think it is a win-win, if he plays as CB, Torres will have a party night, if you play him on the left, Sturridge/Ramires will rape him.

Hmm, I was never keen on futurology...

I hope that was sarcasm :P you won't ever see me negative towards a game, even if it's against Barcelona with Henning Ovrebo as referee ;)

haha, it was not sarcasm though.

That thing Ovrebo robbed us and I cant be calm about it, I nearly had a heart attack and I fractured my proximal phalanges on the right hand when I hit the wardrobe. pure rage haha. maybe its just me.

I saw that game!
I'm more used to it than you guys though, hah, here we have Porto for that kind of antics...

We are quite used to it, the Chelsea fans, although you must not get used to that. But FA/Uefa/Fifa cant seem to care and do anything to make it right. They are all c***s in suits.

Hmmm well that's relative, I watch Prem games regularly (not all of them obviously, too many for me to watch, but average 3 a week) and I don't often see big robberies, and if they do happen, at least they happen to both sides and not just one, but well every country has that club with the "extra" help from the refs.
