I would put Buffon above them all, he is the best keeper in the world at the moment in my opinion. Should see some of his saves this season in Serie A, he is half the reason why Juve are unbeaten so far in the league.

Relating back to this thread, I think Di Matteo got the approach all wrong tonight at the start of the game.

Havent watched much this season, Italian football I watch the least.

Buffon was the best in the past, but last years he was s**t, maybe he is starting to show his class again.

Probably right, but what a ****.

Fails to mention that his team probably wouldnt have stood a chance. Especially if that really was their best (it wasnt, benfica are better than that)

Casillas
Valdez
Reina
Neuer
Hart
Szczesney
Lloris
Buffon

Off the top of my head, probably more. Cech's been pretty poor this season, letting in a lot of shots he should have saved, especially at his near post.

Reina is not better this season either. Neuer made few costly mistakes too so did Ches. Not saying Cech is top 3 like BlueHeart said, but surely few from this list are not better.

nothing wrong to have an opinion mate, but Valdez? :)

Part of me wants you to feel the pain we felt last year & in Rome. The other part of me wants you to eliminate Clive Tyldesley's favourite masturbation material because (a) I hate them (b) you'll get mauled by Madrid or Bayern anyway and (c) I like JT but it's pretty fun to watch him cry ^^)

I think we need something really special to see off Barca. We have no chance at all, I just hope we dont get torn apart.

And now here comes all the "Barca are gunna thrash you" by mates etc just like on 09 when they was supposed to and yet we outplayed them and only went out due to poor refereeing.

Did you watch your side tonight? If you play like that, you will lose heavily, you need to step up massively.

We taught Man City how to defeat NAPOLI !
We taught Man Utd how to defeat BENFICA !

Lets show the world, how to defeat Barcelona !

Yes we was very poor tonight and I know if we play like that it wont be pretty but I am just saying I cant be bothered with friends, other teams fans etc going on for the next few weeks how Barca will definately thrash Chelsea like they all did in 2009.

Its an ugly cliche to say that, but I think we underestimated this 2nd leg due to the win we got there. We were poor to be honest, Rami missed a golden chance, Mata and Kalou as well..

I don't think Valdes or Cech are in the top tier of goalkeepers.

And as I said before the game...

Emerson was spotless today.
Torres had such a tremendous "field day" he forgot to show up on the field.

this is what you said: Emerson's case is a delicate one.
The man didn't play that bad in the begginign of the season, and ****, he plays much better away than at home, because our supporters are ALWAYS booing the poor guy, he can't play decently, he's under pressure all the time, he gets the ball and they're booing him already, he's not easy to beat in 1-1, has good heading skills and good tactical intelligence, his main problem are fast strikers or wingers, that's why he should never ever be used in difficult games, cause with weaker oposition he hardly makes a mistake.

Torres was quieter today, but also should have scored twice. Emerson was good, but not spotless. Certainly was better than last time, but then he couldnt get much worse.

I pointed out his strong points and said he'd do quite better.
You simply said Torres would have a field day.
Are you trying to state what exactly? It amazes me how it's easier to "defend" a 58 million flop than an adapted center back.
Anyway, I rest my case. Good night to all, FM is calling.

Based on the last performance yes. Most people did, but Emerson was much improved. Not a case of defending either player...
