I think it's time for me to weigh in on the Neymar situation.

First off... he's ******* incredible for 17/18 however old he is. If he can still improve and reach his peak in a few years there's no telling how good this guy can be. To have something like his talent is something given by God, something special and we need this something special at the moment I think.

He looks to have very good pace on him, and he can definitely get quicker. One thing that worries me is his strength and size, he's quite small so adapting to the English game will be hard. Also his attitude. He is definitely built more in the C. Ronaldo mold, not the Messi type personality off the field. All that matters for me is he doesn't **** up with jail or something of the sort.

One quality that I like so far is his ability to spot things. When he's running towards goal he has more than 3 options of what to do. He tries things that many others wouldn't. He's a lot like the finishing Ronaldinho. (Not that Ronaldinho couldn't score, but Neymar is brilliant at finding the net)

40mil is a bit steep for his age, but cheap considering the fact that he has the potential to be one of the best players in football's history. As long as he keeps his focus he can be brilliant. And no, he isn't the second Pele, the second Ronaldo, he's the one and only Neymar. Please buy him Chelsea, it will be worth it.

We should go to 40 without a dout. Big question on what we do if we sign him though because we will have Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Ramires and McEachran all as Centre Midfielders. There has been alot of talk about Essien leaving and i would only be content with that if its not to another PremierLeague club. I think the best option is to either sell Mikel or loan out McEachran.

Best thing would be,imo, to loan out Josh, and maybe even sell Mikel, cuz Lampard Essien Ramires are very much needed..

Agreed. I think Messi is the best play ever (from what I've seen), but I truly believe Neymar could be better than him. But that is a long way off, I think Messi is amazing, but if Neymar keeps his attitude in check, then he could well be better than him.

As is Mikel, he's hugely underrated by (a lot of) Chelsea fans.

What about a loan deal to Bolton??? It worked for Wilshere and Sturridge and Coyle has always wanted a Wilshere type player ever since he left.

I do like Mikel and have backed him a number of times in the past but in a whoes better than who out of him and Modric then its obvious who comes out on top.

If you think by me, just the opposite, I really, truly want him at the club, but if we get Luka, who else should go away? Essien? Lamps?.. I mean, Mikel is a great player, came in and showed brilliant play when Essien was injured, so.. dont get me wrong..

Better wait brother, because Arnesen is not done yet ;] But ye, Bolton is a good place to get first team experience from.

I know many people are worried about whether Neymar can adapt to the PL because of his strenght but if why cant we work on his upper-body strenght just like Hernandez did when he came to Man Utd, I know that may decrease his pace slightly but I am sure we got experts at Chelsea who can advise him on that aspect

And about his attitude i think it because he is the star at Santos, sort of like a big fish in a small pond, and obviously if u are a star of the Brazilian League as a teenager and all the top clubs are after you, you will get arrogant, their is a high chance of that happening... but I believe that if he comes to Chelsea and see's stars who are much bigger than him such as Torres, Drogba, Lampard and Terry who he can look upto and see them in training from day to day, this will serve as an insipiration of sorts for him to work hard and fulfill his potential

I am sure when he comes to Chelsea, then true role models on and off the pitch such as Lampard and Torres will talk to him and tell him that having potential is of no use if he does not work hard and as he will be far from the star of our team, not yet atleast, he will have a hunger to prove himself in the PL and his attitude will change

I have no doubt in my mind that if he has players around him who he can look upto, he will change and work hard and once that happens I think he can become one of the greatest soccer players to have ever graced the PLM

22m was never going to work, we need to go upto 30-35 and and throw in some clauses to make this work... i think 22m is a sort of base price upon which we can build on

Jacko, i still dont think Josh is developed enough to fill the playmaker void just yet tbh, he needs more experience and a loan deal for 6 months to a PLM club which will play him week in and out should be the best option for him, the lad is still only 18 and we should definetly hang onto him at all costs

Sorry to sound like a **** but where did I say he could be better than Messi? Not being a smart *** but I honestly can't see where I said that?

not going to read the first piece of rag, the Sun seems to be the only newspaper telling everyone we are wasting our time signing Neymar

Good decision By Aguero, whats the point of going to Juventus, they offer no CL football meaning they are not different at all in present times from Atletico

I agree he may need a loan, if Hamburg are prepared to give him games then i wouldnt mind if they have him just aslong as its only a loan deal. I would prefer him to stay in the country with someone like Bolton or even a newly promoted side so he is the big fish in a little pond so to speak. But we should only think about loaning him out if we end up signing Modric.

NEymar will never be near Messi

Anyway, in terms of Modric, 30 million at a total max, give them anelka with that.
