I think i may be the only Chelsea fan who dosent want Neymar!!! After watching Sturridge last season with Bolton and being the best player on the pitch the other night against Ukraine i am really looking forward to seeing him back in a Chelsea shirt aslong as he gets starts.

Barca do need to raise sum funds as they only have 40m which will hardly buy them anyone who could improve their squad. I would think 25-35 may convince them to sell up.

Yeah there was talk of that last week. It's only because Barca need extra funds, not sure it will happen, but if it does us and City would definitely be the favourites to buy him I'd think.

Well he either goes with David Silva or Fernando Torres.

dont think we should buy him tbh... we got Torres who is very similar to Villa and we will have to cough up atleast 50m to buy Villa me reckons as he same/better than Torres... cant see it happening

Villa gonna hit 30 this year? Why would we want him ? I mean, he is class, but he will be that way max 1-2 more seasons and then .. I dont know, AGUERO > VILLA

They arnt simular. Villa plays wide left and Torres plays through the middle

Why wouldnt we want him?? Its not always about signing the best young talent out there. Villa and Torres is a tried and tested formula which is litarally world class. If we get 2-3 years our of him and win lots of silverwere then surely its worth it.

I don't think we need him either. But I'm sure he'll be about 25/30 million if Barca do sell as they'll be pretty desperate and he's turning 30. May as well stump up the extra 10/15 million more and get Neymar who is ten years younger than him and nearly as good as him.

aye I agree, but do you think that its worth paying 30-35 mil for Villa(30) instead of paying 35-40 and get Neymar(19) ? doesnt make any sense + im not sure that Villa will adapt swiftly in the PL.. I dont know brother, its risky.

Neymar isnt close to Villa, doesnt come remotely close in terms of attitude, consistency, and real end product. Hasnt exactly lit up the Copa either, got hugely shut out by Penarol. Would make so much more sense to develop Sturridge

Villa is a very clever player, i think Villa is less of a risk than Neymar.

Couldnt agree more, ok Sturridge is a few years older but i personly believe Sturridge could make Englands Euro 2012 squad. I think the lad has so much more he can give.

Neymar is not close to Villa now but can be much better than Villa I think in the coming years

can be much better than Villa? David Villa is one of the most fearsome 9s in the last 10 years, Neymar is hugely talented, but has yet to show that he can even equal Villa, let alone be much better than him, needs so much work if he can emulate him

Okay but I wonder if Roman will pay 30+mil for him .. and for the record, Villa was one of my favs players until he signed for barca.. I wouldnt mind him coming AT ALL :)

I may be foolhardy Mike but surely Neymar has not gotten an adequate chance to prove himself, i think we should wait and see until Neymar starts to play in one of the big leagues... PLM, La Liga etc.

Where he will only find it even harder, and even now he has poor attitude. Refs and players in europe, especially the PL, will be much less lienient to his antics

When I said "nearly as good as him" I didn't mean that close. I mean that if he continues his development over the next two years and adds consistency, a good attitude and real end product to his game then he'll be as good as Villa. Maybe "nearly as good" wasn't the right choice of words.

ok fair enough, but at 35m i just cant see the benefit of signing him when you have a player like Sturridge. Im nt saying Neymar is a bad player, but to come here he will need to significantly change his attitude

maybe his attitude is because he is the big fish in the small pond called Santos... maybe if he comes to Chelsea and starts to play under stars such as Torres, Drogba, stars who can actually guide him he may change his attitude, i wish someone like SAF was our manager, would be able to bring Neymar down to earth in no time
