He always has a little strop when things don't go his way. Remember in Munich when he wasn't in the first 5 penalty takers? IMO he believes everything is against him and it effects his game which is why I still don't feel comfortable s relying on him upfront all season.

How could you think anything else with all the media ***** that is written about him? Was he poor today yes, was the service poor to him today yes. Lampard stropped off last season away at Newcastle and nothing was said from Chelsea fans, he was disapointed with himself and his teammates.

Agreed, Torres gets little slack compared to Lampard.

Don't get me wrong, was he poor today yes he was but so was the service. He got nothing early on had one shot in 45 mins so kept dropping deep to influence the game which effects himself and the team. He would have been annoyed with himself and his team mates but his reaction was poor and he would admit as much now i suspect.

I dont actually know why Lampard is playing to be honest. Not when you want to play the way you are. Time is up both for England and Chelsea.

Against the better sides he leaves Mikel way too exposed. I think we under-estimated QPR today for a lower half side when with the players they have they should be top half and on a day like this showed it. If we play Lamps and Mikel in a 2 on Wednesday against Juve we will be absolutely destroyed.

Same for England, all very well against Moldova, against Ukraine it wasn't good. Not a bad player now by any means, but the shape has changed for both sides and it makes him obsolete. You're better off trying to blood Oscar there.

Yer that or go back to a 4-3-3 with Mikel, Lamps and Ramires in the 3 especially for the bigger sides. Most games these days are won/lost in the midfield.

Agreed, if he wants to stick largely with Lampard, then he has to go back to 4-3-3.

One thing i failed to bring up yesterday and i would like other people to talk about this too about the whole non handshake thing. When Anton snubbed JT he gave the mascot in front of him a shove to push him on when he was clearly still shaking Petr Cech's hand. Now ok i take your point "how pathetic do you want to be bringing this up" but my point would be what if that was JT pushing the mascot. It would have been front and back page news slamming him at all angles, just thought it was wrong that's all and shows what type of man Anton really is.

Really? That little boy didn't move waiting to shake Terry's hand while Terry was busy telling something to Ferdinand. Nothing incident.

Hazard proving my point about him and Mata. He's not distributive enough to work without a pure creator, like Mata, alongside him. Full of tricks and flicks, yes, but not capable of playing defence-splitting passes with the kind of regularity Mata can.

Torres having a sulk as usual after getting taken off. How can he sulk after how **** he was today? Knows how to wind me up that *****.

This thread's schizophrenic attitude to their darling striker never fails to amuse me.

Well considering the kid had already passed JT and shaking Cech's hand.

No. He just stood to shake Terry's hand while Terry was busy at something else.

Which is why I thought RDM might give O

I think Chelsea's best hope this season is top four finish, you concentrated too much in the summer on getting creative midfield players without realising you now have no backbone to your team, getting rid of Meireles considering the other options you have at the moment was really odd to me.

Which is why I felt RDM will give Oscar his full debut who is the most similar player to Mata we have in the squad.. Ultimately I felt RDM was way too negative with his selection and paid the price. Betrand is a LB whichever way you look at it and Ramires is out-of-form.

Have to say I was really impressed by Moses' cameo. He brought aggression, power and directness. Linked up well with his teammates. Genuinely hope RDM shows some balls and starts him vs Juventus

Mata looks set to return vs Juventus and if he can regain last season's form where he carried a pretty **** Chelsea attack by himself.. Watch out defences

We have Mikel who is pretty good. Romeu who I rate pretty highly. Ramires can play in the double pivot as well. Yes we do lack quality in the midfield area but the January Transfer window is still coming and all signs indicate we will invest in another midfielder that month

Personally I think we will be comfortable top 4 finishers. Challenging for the title is another matter entirely. Does not matter because we are building a team for the future.... Average age of our signings this window has been a freakishly young 21

If Ramires can play in the double pivot then why has he not so yet? For both club and country he has not played their so we tried to find an alternative for him which was right wing and he was brilliant their at the back end of last season so he then gets re-called to Brazil squad to play right wing. He does not have the tackling ability or the passing range to play in the double pivot. I fear for us if we stick with the Mikel-Lampard partnership against Juve as their midfield 3 of Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal will tear us to shreds. One of 2 things needs to happen in my opinion, either play Mikel and Romeu in the two or drop another body in midfield.

Top 4 is the goal is it not?? Closer to the two Mancs and hopefully a trophy or two to show for it will be a successful season in my eyes. Cech, Terry, Lampard and Torres can be a spine for now. I was a little miffed when we let Meireles go especially as i thought the game we have been our best at this season was with him and Mikel in the two. But saying that it does bring the wage bill down again slightly and Oscar has all the attributes to play in that role and has a much better passing range than Meireles.
