some fans going ott though in my opinion.

Rafa's Exit

Pathetic really.

Great C.V, tactically astute, proven success.

Sacking RDM may of been wrong but it is not his fault at all.

If I was Pep I wouldn't go near Abramovich's clutches. I still think he is more likely to end at United though.

If Chelsea want Pep, the worst thing they can do is make things hostile for Rafa. Chelsea need to finish in the CL places to attract him. By making Stamford Bridge a hostile place for the manager and in turn players, they are only shooting themselves in the foot. Which will be funny for me mind.

Which is why I am scratching my head on the whole saga. RDM would have made us finish top 4 surely... Not win the title but top 4 yes. Then why sack him and appoint Benitez? I would have understood if we hired Pep

Hopefully Pep comes in the summer. With Lampard/Cole gone by then and a young team at his helm, he could do wonders

I have a feeling it will be Lampard/Cole/Torres gone. Nothing can save him now.

This is literally Torres' best chance at redemption. He is finally playing under the very manager who brought out the best in him. If he fails now, nothing can save his career.

Is sad to see Robbie go after what he achieved, but I sadly agree with this (Arsenal fan I believe):

True words! And Rafa can play Lamps (Oscar sub) behind Torres, like he did with Gerrard in old days.

Lets see..It is paramount that Rafa hits the deck running and wins games because thats the only way he can win the fans over quickly.

I like Benitez tbh. He can get us organized and he likes to play good football with the ball zipping around the pitch quickly. Tactically, he is one of the best. His favoured formation 4-2-3-1 suits our team nicely. While I would certainly question his transfer record and whether he can do the job long-term...The good thing is he is on interim basis and is probably the best choice we could have made in regards to selecting a manager for one season.

You know if we don't get Pep, their is always Unai Emery. Someone should take notice of this guy already.

Yeah i think all the drama will quiet down quickly. Acclaimed manager, master tactician, very experienced in Prem, what can possibly go wrong? Other than Rafa having blowout with Roman about color of toilet seats at the Bridge or the type of bottled water, and getting fired within a week. This is why, as a neutral, Chelsea is fun. You never know what will go horribly wrong. Mwahahaha.

Agree with you mate. From racism saga's to managerial sackings. Never a quiet day at the Bridge :)

His transfers? Don't forget his net spend was very impressive, and brought in quality like; Torres, Mascherano, Alonso, Garcia, Arbeloa, Lucas, Reina, Johnson, et al.

He'll get bargains for you, tons of them. Look at Arbeloa, spent like 3 million, by the time he left he was a Spain international.

He won't, because the manager at Chelsea doesn't decide who they bring in, as seen with RDM asking for Falcao and being told he has to play Torres.

I don't know why no one notices him. He's a great manager. I think Liverpool should have gotten him (though Rogers has done a very good job all things considered), he was exactly the type the owners were looking for.

Balague reckons Benitez will be a huge success at Chelsea. Hopefully he is right :).
