For now, but there has to be a reason why the club is stockpiling money. It's got to go somewhere eventually and there's not much to suggest that it's going to go back into the team. Like Mike says, Kroenke has come out and said that the Glazers are doing a great job at United...

And they are effectively taking money out of the club by not spending it. It's kind of hard to explain but you get what I mean. I phrased it poorly though, sorry about that, trying to make posts in between articles at work.

I know. I think we will either see us becoming successful team once again and then Kroenke starts to ship money out from the club OR we will fall down which looks more likely and he will sell his stake at the club big profit. It's kind of win win situation for him currently as Usmanov is keen to take majority holding of the club.

It really is bizzare. There's always better alternative than to just sit on it. If they are after loan repayment ,deal could propably be renegotiated saving a lot of money in the longterm. If they're sitting on it, they might just as well start taking it.

I think Gazidis talked about paying the debt early and there are penalties for that so we'd end up paying more than what is current value of the debt. Still in current climate I'd expect bank to be willing to negotiate for early repayment.

Happy Birthday to the greatest captain ever!

Well shows how stupid they are, just because we are out doesn't mean they take the title off us. We are still Champions of Europe until May 23rd (i believe). Also someone should remind them the whole reason they were even able to sing that chant at that game last night, erm because of us!!!!

They are still just bitter and jealous.

I'd agree to be Chelsea manager for a tenth of that amount. I've won plenty of stuff on FM... what do you say, Roman?

It's not Maldini's birthday, is it? ;)

Meanwhile... Fernando Torres is on fire, or as on fire as he can be recently. What say you now, Chelsea fans?

We are not getting carried away.

And of course not, I said the greatest. :P

Much better from Torres. He has rejected penalties in the past so taking one today could be a sign his confidence is up and it looked like a very confident penalty. More of the same Fernando please!

Also Torres has equaled the amount of prem goals he got in the whole of last season lol.

Ask again later. They're currently busy editing all their posts from last month.

A few goals midweek and today doesn't change the fact that he hasn't been good enough for a long time.

Let's just hope he's turned the corner here.

My word, Torres is flying today. Hits the bar, Mata converts it, 3-0, job done. Loloneill

Happy with the win the best we have performed in the league in a good while also IMO Torres best performance for us since we beat Arsenal at the emirates he worked hard today, looked confident and was unlucky not to get a hat trick. More of the same Fernando :)

I'll leave Torres alone for today. Good EPL win in what feels like forever. Also Oscar, Moses, Mata and Hazard were on the pitch at the same time today. What did I miss?

Torres would have taken the penalties at 'Pool, but Gerrard was just magnificent at them, same for Kuyt, and alonso, and aurelio...I didn't really see it as a not confident at them-thing, and honestly if I were Chelsea fans I'd rather see Lampard take them.

Lampard was not on the pitch....
