...so yeah I'm having fun.

On the subject of Benteke this made me laugh the other day on a facebook group. Someone said "what about signing that Benteke lad from Villa, looks a handful". My reply was simply "yeah if only we had a young Belgian striker who is a handful already".

Heh. Benteke won't be leaving us for another season, and most definitely not this transfer window. He's on a long contract, he's happy here, and Lambert just wouldn't stand for it. Some fans are getting a little ahead of themselves!

Interesting you bring up Lukaku though, I've been doing a bit of watching of him in conjunction with Benteke. They're actually quite different players, considering their physical similarities. Lukaku's more of an out-and-out goalscorer, but Benteke's more rounded, very similar to Drogba in that he has good technical skills and enjoys dropping deep to instigate attacks. Chelsea fans will finally know what it's like to be on the receiving end of such a striker for once!

Benteke and Lukaku.... Beast and Beastier.

Behave son, it's the other way round. ;)

John Terry/Ivanovic will eat Benteke whole GodCubed, if they play that is! ;)

If they get pwned by Heskey they will just get **** on repeatedly by Benteke. ;)

In all honesty I really think Villa could hurt Chelsea at the weekend, Lambert's tactical adaptability is really impressive, he deserves all that he gets with Villa. Benteke has definitely been a very good buy and I think Weimann has done really well in many games this season too.

We've been a bit of a bogey team for them over the last couple of years.

Much will depend on how wide Chelsea manage to play if we continue with the 3-4-1-2 Lambo's been using. Our defence and attack have been putting in some monstrous individual performances recently and our midfield is stable and hard-working. If Chelsea field Azpilicueta, Moses and keep Hazard wide to isolate his full-back we could well struggle. Luckily, we have Matty Lowton on the right who is having a wonderful season, and we'll have a fresh young squad. I think Lambert's gameplan will be to subject Chelsea to as much movement as possible, to try and exploit any tiredness. That'll mean Brett Holman, our attacking link-man, could well be crucial in putting the not particularly composed Chelsea deep midfield on the back foot and getting in their faces. Ashley Westwood will have his work cut out against the Chelsea playmakers, but we can move a man up from defence on a non-permanent basis to help out in midfield (Chris Herd, probably) and just try and get a lead. It'll be two on two in the centre of the Chelsea defence, so the full-backs will have to be wary about leaving their centre-backs alone against Benteke and Weimann, who complement each other well and crucially have a great partnership and understanding of where the other is.

Villa are always annoying to play, especially at the Bridge.

Just leaving this here.

Loling at the Rafa hate at 1-0, not sure how it was his fault.
