Yeah, they won 8-0 against us.

And we beat Liverpool 3-1. Ouch.

It's a bad day to be GodCubed.... beating Liverpool is one thing. But ****** **** Torres scored against you. ;)

Great result for Rafa but my god what were Villa doing? :(
Sat back and didn't press in the slightest all game, gave Chelsea all the time in the world all game.

Oh yes, I'm well aware. But copped it so much after that game that it feels nice to use it on someone else.

Fair!

To be honest, I'm taking a rather pragmatic approach to it. This was a freak result, just one of those things that happens every now and then. We went 3-0 down by a combination of poor marking, bad luck and an unsaveable freekick, and from there we were far too naive. Tried to push forward, impose ourselves on the game, and Chelsea absolutely ripped us to shreds on the counter. Then when we were about 5-0 down, we stopped trying to attack, our heads dropped and Chelsea had their tails up.

In short, we defended badly, were unlucky, then showed all the hallmarks of a young and inexperienced team. Hardly surprising, but it shouldn't be forgotten that this is our first defeat in 7. We weren't a bad team before our unbeaten run (contrary to the media's buffoonery) and we aren't a bad team now. Everything's still coming together. It wasn't so much a hiccup as choking momentarily, but we'll be fine.

But Chelsea today were fantastic. Really, really brilliant. Having Luiz and Lampard in midfield probably won't work against the big sides, but today we were overwhelmed and with the lack of proper opposition they absolutely bossed it.

Hey, we know you're ******, but that doesn't give you the right to bully the waklings around.

You act like I didn't before. :P

technically you didnt mean liverpool 3-1 villa did lol :P.. but i rather be where liverpool are now than villa tbh just saying

Does someone have a Retardese-English translation for this?

One thing interesting I will say is that Chelsea must definitely have a striker in mind or lined up because Sturridge is going and there is no way they will go through the season with one striker. Even if they recall Lukaku which I don't think they will you really need a minimum of three strikers.

So who are your guys bets on? The obvious would be Falcao. I might take a bet on Lewandowski, apparently wanted to come to the Premier League for quite a while. Raphael Hogistein (however you spell) German journalist recons he is 90% certain to leave either in January or at the end of the season.

Edit: I still think Higuain is a great shout as well though from Real Madrid.

If someone doesn't ******* sign Negredo I'm going to be so ******.

Put your money back in your wallet or you're gonna lose it, I asked who was your bet on for Chelsea to sign ;)

You think I ever took my money out of my wallet to bet on something Roman ******* Abramovich has control over?

good man

Was that CJacko?

No it was not me lol, Rafa actually deserves credit today for his game plan as he got it right. Like i have always said and will always say if i believe credit is due i will give it, if not then i will slate.

Fantastic scoreline and performance today and credit as much as i hate it must go to the gaffer. Luiz was brilliant today although against a young naive side so there is a long way to go with him if he is to play that position but signs are positive for sure. Went mad when we scored our forth as i knew it was game over and got asked to stop swearing by a man sitting next to me who had kids, oops lol. UTC!!!!

Soldado or Negredo? Forget stats, just your opinion.

Asking me for an opinion without stats? Asking the wrong man. :P

But... it's a close one, a very close one. Both are the same age, both are in good form. However. On one hand, Soldado has a better scoring record, that much is undeniable. On the other, Negredo is more than just a pure finisher, and a brilliant all-round forward capable of playing any kind of role at all, as well as being physically more imposing and likely better suited to the Prem. On top of that, he's likely available for cheaper. Soldado's an excellent player, but in my eyes Negredo takes it, if only because of my massive Negredoboner.
