Llorente isnt Falcao, but he is certainly more subtle than just a big man.

Llorente is brilliant with ball at his feet but still gives you another option if you wanted to play it up to him.

Do you not think that if we had Llorente upfront, we'd just end up lumping him the ball all too often? Fair play the guy isn't just a battering ram but do you think that he's really good enough with the ball at his feet to include him in the sort of Barca-esque football that Roman seems to want? Genuine question because I've only seem him in fits and bursts and I had him down someone who was just efficient with the ball at his feet.

Taison is not the natural striker we need. He is another flashy dwarf in the attacking midfield.

Bilbao were playing quick ball to feet football before it all fell apart. He is most certainly capable of it. If you end up lumping it to him, that's the fault of players behind, not him, because he is more than capable with his feet.

Would he happy to be 2nd choice though, seeing as we seem to obsessed with getting Falcao in the summer?

Statement from @NUFCOfficial: "Demba Ba given permission to speak to Chelsea. As a result he won't be included in tonight's squad."

Definitely. He fits seamlessly into Spain's side, and there's no higher praise than that.

Roman would be a fool to believe that he cant play that way, and if his scouts are not telling him he is wrong, then they all genuinely need the sack.

Discussion over because it is Ba anyway, the obvious and if not boring choice. But you can't deny Ba deserves a chance at a big club and is a very capable striker.

Ba for 7 after selling Studge for 12 is great business. Obviously don't know wages, signing on fee's and other clauses yet but Chelsea in surprise business sense shocker.

Shocking how the club didn't give Sturridge more of a chance. He was our best player under AVB and was playing out of position. He will do well at Liverpool.

From what I herd, Chelsea pull out from contract negotiations with Ba and his agent. Apparently agent fee was too high for Roman.

It seems Ba's agent fees might cost in excess of 5 million, on top of his presumably large wages and 7 million, at 27(?) for someone with a possibly dodgy knee. Risky, but possibly great business

7 million for someone who should be hitting his prime in this day and age is a bargain..

His agent is a massive douche.. Seems he demands so much in fees and seems to have very little interest in Ba's happiness.

According to Alan Pardew himself, Demba Ba has signed for Chelsea.
