There is a massive difference between losing and being humiliated!

As I suspected people have took this far too seriously what i said and made it sound hugely worse. Where did i say he shouldn't rotate at all? All i am saying is these days it seems that he believed players cannot play 2 games in 3 days which is absolute bollocks. If you feel JT can only play 1 game in 3 days out of Prague at home or City away then you pick the most difficult one that's quite obvious! The Lampard/Mikel partnership was never going to work against City was it lets be honest? Ramires wide right is just not the answer either is it? I am just not buying this whole sports science bollocks, are we genuinely going down the route to believing that players cannot play twice in 3 days?

Lampard misses a pen. Better blame Rafa!

So all of a sudden football from 5-10 years ago is so different to now days and footballers cannot play 2 games in 3 days?

In short? Yes. Its different ever since people came up with heavy rotation systems as a way to succesfuly compete on several arenas. The earliest examples i remember on top level was Ottmar Hitzfeld in Bayern and Capello in Milan. And they had very consistent success both in Europe and at home while the world was playing catch up.

Its not that players can't play for 90 minutes every 3 days. I can play for 90 minutes every 3 days. But when rotating side with good squad depth faces non-rotating side with thin squad...well, the game often looks like it did on Sunday. When it comes to rotation, its adapt or die, basically.

Also, you know, match fit is not the same as doctor fit. Ba is match fit, but he actually has a broken nose. I'll risk a guess that at least 5-6 of the other guys in the squad are playing with minor injuries that would get normal person grounded by a doctor. And they need more time to recover , or it can develop into something more serious and potentially career threatening.

Dota 1 or WoW? Lol.

Do you ever play any DotA?

On a random note, does anyone need a DotA2 invite? I have like 40 (no, really).

As for Sunday, eh. That's all I can say about us recently. The problems were and still are obvious. Hopefully the club will look to fix them in the summer. Until then, all we do is hold on for fourth.

Okay okay, lets say your right for a second and Rafa's heavy rotation policy (which is something Ranieri got bashed for years ago) is the right way to go and its about managing players fitness etc. Why only make 3 subs in 2 games vs Prague (2 away leg, 1 home leg), 1 sub against Newcastle and so on? I worked out that since he took over he has made 67 of 78 subs available to him 5 of which you can away because they were through injury so were forced upon him. So that leaves 62 subs out of a possible 78, yet again contradicting himself especially when he only makes one or two changes in recent games. If he made more changes which are available to him then certain players may be able to play 3 days later wouldn't they?

Ferguson rotates/rotated more than any manager in the Prem. It underpins out successs. We went 165 games without naming the same line up twice in a row.

Do you know why Rafa rotates? Because he is about a pressing game, which saps the fitness like nothing else. He rotates according to fitness levels and its anything but arbitrary when he does it.

Yayyyyyy a link to The Sun!

Don't know how legit it is but I'm sure Cjacko will love it ;)

Just days after the Sun apologised about bullshitting about the exact same thing!

The thing is we are not even pressing in numbers so even that wouldn't stand up mate. Fergie also rotates because he has the side to rotate where as Rafa doesn't. He made one sub on Thursday night vs Prague, why not make the other two and give the two coming off more a rest so they are fitter for Sunday?

He's trying to get you to press, but you arent actually pulling it off, so you were set up ultra cautious vs city. Why would he make more changes in a game you needed a result in? He actually managed to rest Luiz and Cole, and get Terry some needed game time to get him back up to speed, while not pushing him too hard

If JT could play 90 minutes Thursday then he could have played 90 on Sunday instead thats for sure. Playing Lampard was not setting up defensively in my opinion. As i keep saying its not all his fault but he is making major mistakes too and not learning by them.

No, no it does not mean that at all. The field of sports science could disprove that point entirely. There are all sorts things to do with recovery and optimum condition that could prevent that.

As a side you were set up to be compact, but of course since you dont actually have a defensive midfield, the theory was largely lost on a very sub par Lampard.

His mistake was to take Hazard off, but given how bad you were, not sure how much difference it would have made.

Hazard is a player who can do something out of nothing, another one of his questionable subs.

On the most recent story of a player-manager bust up if it actually did happen this time then i am on the fence with it. Rafa as much as i dislike it and players dislike it is the manager and is entitled to voice his opinion on the players performances. But also if the manager is making mistakes as Rafa is then i don't see a problem with players voicing their opinions either. Either way the most concerning thing (if it is true that is) is the these stories keep finding their way out to the ****** public!!!

I do play, the game I play the most as of now (battle.net). I'm buying a new desktop in March and then I will switch to Dota 2, have played it several times on my mate's pc though. I'm really into that game, it will ruin my life :(.. And yes, we have had more keys than that :P Thanks anyway.

I don't think so. When Hazard is good he's good, but when he's having a poor game... he has a poor game. He isn't like a Rooney, RVP, or Cisse were they have a quiet game and just produce something brilliant.

Awesome mate, when you get the desktop we should definitely play a few!

Anyone seen the paddy power advertisement across the road from Stamford Bridge having a dig at Torres XD Noticed it when leaving the bridge after the brentford game and I have now seen a few stories that Chelsea have tried to get the billboard to be taken down but have failed as it is not on their property.
