Probably because many wouldn't have...

h'es a split figure between the fasn, and indeed the club. There are very good reasons why he was never even considered for the United job.

The majority of United fans I know would love to have Mourinho over Moyes, foolish to pretend otherwise

Do they stand for the majority of the United fan base? Didn't think so.

Like I said, he's a massive split figure. There are those who would love him, and those who wouldn't want him anywhere near.

From what I have seen on message boards and Internet forums, one group heavily outnumbers the other. Anyways, really don't care much so whatever

Absolutely buzzing for next season now though!!!

Be good to see Mourinho back in the Premier League, definitely missed his exploits

Lets just hope you're not as successful as last time!

It doesn't, if anything the choice has been split between Klopp, Jose, Moyes in that order.

I think it's more an admission of him being out of ideas than him actually being "wrong". Could even suggest he is actually getting quite bored, who knows.

Indeed, he's tried every route. On the other hand, Chelsea have been pretty successful while sacking them left right and centre.

It's the same with Jose, he had relatively few options left. United were not interested, City were never going to be, as Soriano is the one who interviewed him for the Barcelona job. He didn't fancy Ligue 1.

Its less of a coming home, and more of a marriage of convienience this time.

Really hope roman doesn't sack him over one bit of poor form or maybe a trophy less or average season where we pick up say just a capital one cup/fa cup.

Frankly speaking the fan base will go ballistic if Roman fires him for no good reason. I doubt the Board will make the same mistake they did when sacking RDM unless they have a very justifiable reason

..and frankly speaking the board doesn't care what you think. They will sack him if they think they should.

Exactly, its why they fired him the first time. Its why they hired Benitez. They do what they think is right for Chelsea, not what the fans think, or even care that much what the fans want.

Interesting to note that Mourinho is the first manager to be given a 4 year contract when newly appointed by Ambramovich. Not that it means much but just saying...

He seems to have mellowed with age, hopefully being back in England means the old Jose is back. Spain took a lot out of him.
