"Romelu Lukaku has revealed where his future lies after the match against Serbia. 'I will play at Chelsea next season. I've had a good talk with the manager (José Mourinho) and he gives me a place in the first team.'
'I'm not afraid of the competition, I think I can play as many matches as I did at West Bromwich. I'm also realistic: if I can't break through at Chelsea then I don't deserve to go to the World Cup.'

Will also be interesting what he thought of De Bruyne after his performance, a goal and an assist.

YOU WHAT

Really hope Lukaku gets a good chance next season now he has confirmed he will be staying. If he gets around 9-10 goals I will considering it a good season for him considering hs age and he will obviously not be starting every single game.

I think ( IF he gets decent chances and minutes on pitch ) he can go on and score at least 15 goals in all tournaments next season.

Edit: Boateng rumours are gathering pace. Would cost somewhere around 15m with Monaco also interested in him. Rumour is that he has asked to leave Milan.

Why do we want Boateng? For me is not better then what we already have.

From what i have heard Chelsea have met the release clause for Cavani so of course the bid has been accepted. Man City have offered 30million+ Dzeko which has also been accepted and Juventus has had a bid accepted not sure whether they have met a release clause or offered any player in a deal. City have offered more in terms of wages but on a 4 year deal where as Chelsea have offered a 5 year deal and allegedly Chelsea is his most favorable destination.

You didnt meet the release clause, you offered £40m plus Courtois (why?!!?!?). Napoli want the £53m release or nothing.

I have heard different, think this one is just up in the air. Heard Napoli wanted 30mill plus Ramires (me personally would not say no to that)

Nope they definitely wanted the £53 Million. De Laurentiis said as much (article is now in the Times paper) Benitez does like Ramires though, as well as Luiz and Ivanovic.

Lolol I really really really really doubt we offered Courtois. He is going to be one of the best keepers in the world one day at the rate he has devoloped. We offered Torres+cash which got rejected. Then purely cash which got rejected.

You offered £40m and Courtois, so not sure what's lol. If you have a times sub, check the article.

This was less than two days ago. It was known that it was cash and a player, but the player only got revealed last night (outside the Uk, as Rory Smith didnt want to release in the UK before he could write his article)

Smith isn't a speculative journalist (this can be said for most of the Times as well, especially Ducker). If he doesn't know something he'll just say he doesn't know. As he points on his feed, he's not speculating on this.

Tancredi Palmer reckons it was Torres who was offered. I doubt it's Torres because from what I have seen, Emeleano has an extremely high opinion of him. I doubt he will make such a mistake of letting him go and frankly even if he did, Napoli are bigger knobs for rejecting such a deal

Napoli haven't shown any interest in Torres. And they don't need a keeper.

Chelsea will have to find £53m to sign Edinson Cavani

Napoli have informed Chelsea they will not sell Edinson Cavani, the Uruguay striker, for less than the £53 million release clause stipulated in his contract after rejecting an initial bid in excess of £40 million from the Barclays Premier League club.
Less than a week after his return to Stamford Bridge — and still 48 hours before his official presentation — José Mourinho, Chelsea’s new manager, is determined to waste no time in his attempts to reshape the squad.

The Portuguese is confident of beating Arsenal and Juventus to the £23 million signature of Stevan Jovetic, the Fiorentina and Montenegro forward, while his move to submit an offer to Napoli for Cavani not only proves his resolve to see off intense competition from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City to land the striker, but also casts huge doubt on Fernando Torres’s future.
Chelsea’s first bid for Cavani, 26 — the leading scorer in Serie A last season, with 29 goals in 34 games — is believed to have been £40 million plus Thibault Courtois, the goalkeeper on loan at Atlético Madrid, That offer was rejected flatly by Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli president, who is insistent he will not deviate from his asking price.

De Laurentiis seemingly confirmed in a radio interview late on Thursday night that he was in dialogue with Chelsea and it appears likely that the English club will return with a second, improved offer. Napoli’s hope, of course, is that their interest forces City and Real Madrid to submit formal offers, sparking an auction for the player.

In public, Napoli have consistently expressed their hope that Cavani can be persuaded to stay — he signed a five-year contract worth €7 million (about £5.9 million) a season in August last year — but in private the club are resigned to the jewel in their crown departing this summer.

The funds will be used to provide their new coach, Rafael Benítez, with the resources to mount a serious challenge for the club’s first Italian title since 1990. The Spaniard is interested in the likes of Edin Dzeko, of Manchester City, and Martin Skrtel, of Liverpool, but no final decisions on priority targets have been made.

Chelsea are moving rather more quickly in what is likely to prove a frenzied transfer window. Mourinho has also identified Dzeko — should his moves for Jovetic and Cavani fail — while Hulk, the Brazil striker at Zenit St Petersburg, has suggested he, too, has been targeted. Chelsea are also thought to be close to completing a £20 million deal for André Schürrle, the Bayer Leverkusen forward.
Should Mourinho pull off two — or even three — of those transfers, it would seem to spell the end of Torres’s Chelsea career. Mourinho has been informed he will have to raise some money to offset the costs of his revamp and it is believed the club will assess offers for Torres and David Luiz, the Brazil defender.

Meanwhile, Yohan Cabaye, the Newcastle United midfielder, has hinted that he would consider a move away from St James’ Park this summer and admitted he has “liked Manchester United for a long time”.

“I like what they do,” the midfielder told Canal+. “The boss has left, but they have appointed a very good successor. They are always well placed among the big clubs and it could be an interesting challenge for sure. For the moment I am at Newcastle. I have two games left [for France] and after that I will go on holiday to clear my head of this difficult season, and let my agents work for me.” Newcastle would probably demand about £20 million for the 27-year-old, signed from Lille for £4.8 million two summers ago.
