And others laid out reasons why he may prefer PSG, and you blindly dismissed them. That's arrogant, in your assumption you *must* be a much more attractive destination. PSG have things to offer him, get over it. Like I said, if every player thought like you're suggesting Chelsea wouldn't even be in a position to be attracting such high calibre players.
Attractiveness is completely subjective, to one person London would be a great place to live, to others they may despise it. You don't know Pastore and his reasons at all.
and there was me saying that like 50 posts ago, maybe the smartest thing a coach can do.
deep-lying role - setting up the attack from a deep position, i agree with that.
I agree on the Josh point, just think we are a midfielder short...Preferably Moutinho.
IMO RW/LW coming in alongside Lukaku will be perfect.
Our defence has depth and quality, GK situation obviously doesn't need adressing.
And I rate Ramires alot, but I do feel we are a midfielder and 2 wingers short.
Malouda/Anelka can be sold and hopefully we finally bring in a RW that we have needed for years, Kalou/Anelka are in no shape or form RWers...Again just IMO.
Kakuta has talent but I would loan him out next season see how he does, bring in a LW/RW/Midfielder/Lukaku and the squad should be good enough to challenge. But as it stands there is too many players that I have completely lost confidence in after last seasons dreadful displays.
I hope it's a squad rejuvenation not just a 'patch up', but again I do have faith in AVB and that will hopefully see me through.
But I just disagree with CFC fans saying our squad as it stands is good enough, because IMO after seeing what they did with Carlo it's just not at all and age is a factor but players like Kalou are good...but not good enough.

Confirmed across news organisations that Pastore is off to Paris.
Amazing coup, but I am sceptical that CFC were in for him. Zampa could have been trying to draw them out.

I really, really want Pastore, but I'll have nothing against him or PSG if he goes there. I like him and PSG and if he doesn't join us I'm glad he's joining a team I quite like, rather than a team I dislike (Man Utd and co.) France is not a bad league at all and isn't far away from the top 3 leagues. Then there's the prospect of him leading PSG to being one of the best teams in the world (which is possible), Paris is one of the nicest Cities in the world and he might prefer France/Paris over London/England. Then again it could be about money, which would be unfortunate, but there's nothing you can do about it.

I don't think we would match 42 million euros for him.
Zampa tried to get CFC to bid in the past 48 hours I'm convinced of it but for 42 million euros I would rather have Paulo Henrique or Moutinho+Guarin.
Interesting stat about Guarin, he created more chances per game than everyone else at the Copa America bar Messi.

I said last season at some point i could see Lamps playing the deeper role. We need/want Lampard in the squad wherever he plays.

It is of my humble opinion that it would be silly to get Gilardino as they already have Hoarau and Gameiro plus like 7 midfielders who could realistically demand to start.
neither Malaga nor PSG care if they will play in Europe anytime soon, they want to build teams to compete in Europe in 2-3 years from now, Malaga wont make it into top 4 as simple as that, therefore Europa league would be their target...
PSG are building a team to compete from now. Bringing in the players they have been bringing in is not a long term plan. And I don't know how you can say Malaga won't make it into top 4 for sure when you have seen the inconsistency of the other big teams in Spain (except Barca and Real). Valencia are going downhill, Sevilla are not what they used to be, Villareal's team isn't stronger on paper etc etc.
