to be fair, AVB has played Drogba and Torres upfront in a 2 striker formation with Torres given the freedom to float to the wings, I can see Lukaku rotating with Drogba in that formation and Sturridge will be absolutely perfect in that formation if Torres gets injured....Although Anelka did do well in the hole behind the strikers I rather see Benayoun or Josh there, according to me Anelka does not have a future at this club and whatever our opinions on Kalou, I find him to be a good versatile squad player who can complement us on the wings in a 4-3-3 or in a central striker role and he does bag useful goals, I rather see Anelka leave partly because he is getting on as well

We tried out 3-4 formations in our Pre-Season Games so it will be interesting to see how we go about playing teams of varying difficulties, I am particulalry interested in seeing the Rangers game and how AVB approaches that as to be fair, Rangers will prove far tougher opposition than Villa considering their players are at full fitness since they just played in the Champions League Qualifiers

Hope Torres bags a goal, would do wonders for his confidence just when we need it the most

Something to do with the Scottish FA. Because Rangers are at home it isent aloud to be shown live, **** really but i'll find a stream.

Now there's a surprise. I didn't expect that at all. oO)

If a club puts a buy-back clause in your contract, that's always going to be on your mind - especially when it's a club as big as Barca is.

Important season for him, though. If he plays enough, and plays well while Essien's out then a) Will probably think less about Barca bid and more about pushing for a first team place ahead of ME at Chelsea and b) Could get that playing time needed to further his development and make him worth the possible €25m Chelsea would have to fork out should they want him long-term.

Or, of course, bearing in mind that quote - c) Could be an absolute steal for Barca at just €15m having been developed sufficiently on loan at Chelsea to be worth a starting/bench spot for Barca.

What because the keeper saved his penalty he isent the same player anymore?? McEachran had to play deep because if you had noticed our only DM had to come off with an injury and Josh can play that role alot better then Lampard and Ramires!!!

Disappointed to see him leave, but good luck to him I will certainly be keeping an eye on him. We have to buy a new winger now, surely?

That must be rubbish, he'd player nearly every game imo. Anyway Italian media reported that we wouldn't up our bid. But I suppose we will most likely never know why we didn't get him.
