Lukaku... 'Lightning pace'? What on earth, if you watch some games he is quicker than Drogba but lightning is pushing it. He is good in the air as well, Anderlecht always hoof it up to his chest. Just needs to improve his heading, his shooting and movement is sublime. Think he's an absolutely brilliant signing just hope we can move Anelka on somehow.

I don't think he meant literally he has lighting pace because nobody does, he's not got the pace of somebody like Lennon, but I think he means for his size, he's really quick. By in the air I was referring to his heading, I know that Anderlecht hoof it up to his chest. His technique needs developing quite a bit if it's ever going to be as good as Drogba's, but until a few years ago Drogba's wasn't that good either.

just heard we are about to put a final offer for modric? any news about that?

Talking neutrally very happy with this signing, much rather have a player like him, rather than Neymar, in the league

Me too, weeks ago when we were linked with both i put up a massive argument why i would prefer Lukaku.

where can i get a couple of tickets for me and my brother to see the stoke game?

Buy a season ticket or membership

Yer i didnt mean Lennon pace i mean for his/Drogba's size he is so quick.

Yer its on SSN website, rekon it will be around 30mill (stupidly) but we already know they will reject it so why bother.

I thought your last bid was 33m?

1.5 billion in debt?

Someone can't do maths whoever made that graphic.

Even in dollars that's like 800 million pounds and that's around double what they owe in loan repayments.

Might as well have just plucked a number from your ar...

Lukaku's father on his son's move to #CFC: 'For him, it's an absolute dream come true. He will play alongside his idol, Didier Drogba. When he heard the news, he went crazy. He jumped for joy. He has directly put on the jersey of Chelsea and he started dancing in the living room. At that moment, I remembered that my son was still only 18. This naivety is amazing. I think it will help him succeed. He will play in one of the biggest clubs in the world but it will never be undermined by pressure'

To be fair, he probably won't play alongside Drogba very much.

well, we dont know that.

Drogba will stay probably another 2 seasons.
2 years alongside his lifetime idol, training with him, learning from him = priceless. This is a dream coming true right here.

im happy for him. Clubs deserve exactly this kind of dedication. He loves the club and therefore he will always give 101% every game.

With Torres and Drogba he probably won't get much field time tbh. Drogba is getting old, and will probably retire soon, but what about Torres? Unless AVB start's playing with 2 strikers instead of 1, one of them will be benched, and I doubt that it'll be Torres.

yep, because one striker will play 50+ games...

AVB will pick the best XI for every game. He has said it and i hope he will prove it. Hes not scared to put a 50mil-rated striker on the bench. The better starts. as simple as that. No guaranteed spot for anyone. I really hope AVB prove what hes said.

Why abuse?

1) its £478m

2) its falling

Not worth the abuse. At least could have concentrated on math part..

Drogba is getting old but he dosen't rely on things that leave you as you get older i.e pace. He could easily go on for another 2 years.

Yeah. Well, he's still a class player, so i don't think he'll retire now. 2-3 years and he's gone though.
