Yeah probably... Although he might end his career at Chelsea.
I didn't mean in terms of Drogba leaving/Lukaku sitting on the bench (although both seem reasonably likely to happen next season and one would presumably be the cause of t'other.) but in terms of Lukaku being pretty similar to Drogba and therefore not suited to playing 'alongside' him in matches.
Seems slightly odd that Chelsea have signed two strikers (adding to the two they already have) who prefer to play on their own up front. Why not see how Sturridge develops, and then play him (shockhorror! Chelsea playing someone U21
) with Torres? If you have been watching our Pre-Season then you would know that Daniel Sturridge is indeed playing alongside Torres in a 4-3-3 and you would also know that we played a 4-3-1-2 against Aston Villa with both Torres and Drogba upfront with Torres given the freedom to float to the wings, according to me Lukaku would be perfect to cover for Drogba whilst Sturridge for Torres in that formation, its quite apparent that we will be using different formations this season, even Torres has come out and said that they have been trying different formations during training so we really don't know how we are going to line-up against Stoke
Either way its hardly as if Lukaku will be given a chance straight away, its evident that AVB wants to give Lukaku atleast a season or two to adapt to the English Game ad learn from Drogba before he unleashes him week in and outhence why Drogba is probably going to be given a contract exentsion till 2013, we really cant make the same mistake as last season of brining in our Youth too early and AVB understands the importance of having experienced players such as Drogba remaining in his ranks until Lukaku is deemed able enough to fill his shoes
Anyways Lukaku is smart enough to know he will not get many games this season and he said it himself in an interview but he is also smart enough to understand that playing alongside the likes of Torres and Drogba will only make him a much better player than he could ever be by playing in the Belgian League for 2 more years
Either way we have got a great pool of talented youngsters coming in and it is apparent that some of them such as Nathaniel Chalobah, PVA , Kalas and Josh are rated by AVB.... very exciting time to be a Chelsea fan imo
think its a bull story tbh.... just because we sold Zhirkov , Telegraph and Daily Fail jumping to conclusions as usual, it is well know that either PVA or Bertrand will act as cover for Cole this season while we have enough players who can play on the left and Pereira is a Left-Back anyways

Thats in the Liga Sagres mate and although I would not mind him, I really would want us to shore up our midfield first, its only a few days away before the Stoke game and I rather we be linked with more midfielders instead of players we dont really need

Doubt we would sell him tbh... Even though he had malaria he still bagged 13 goals last season and was PLM top scorer before that not to mention that I very much doubt AVB will be bringing Lukaku into the fold so quickly, we really do not want to make the same mistakes as last season do we where we rushed our Youth in too quickly or we did not have experienced heads to rely on
Here is me hoping Drogba completes his career at Chelsea, a top top player who has a lot to offer us both on and off the field, think he will greatly accelerate Lukaku's development and I prefer AVB giving Lukaku a couple of seasons to adapt to the English Game before selling Drogba and making Lukaku one of our key strikers
Lukaku repeatedly stated he does not want go on loan and the very next day said that he will only improve by playing alongside Torres and Drogba... doubt he will welcome a Loan Move and I doubt AVB will send him... the Courtois situation was entirely different considering that Courtois would not have gotten more than 5 apps if he remained with us

Look if Gourlay and Emenalo want to take the club forward then they wold listen to AVB, what else can I say.... I think Gourlay has better things to concentrate on such as getting in a new CM for instance

yes yossi is older, but he has vision for a killer pass. still. and when he and torres on the pitch = danger for others. thats what matters at this point. we have to think how to unlock Torres' goals, and Yossi is one of the keys.
as for Luka, he is good, but he aint comin, not for 30 mil anyway.

Yossi will be a key player for us this season I think.. He has had a great Pre-Season and I can certainly seem him playing on the left in our 4-3-3 or in the hole in a 4-3-1-2..... I think AVB really rates him as a player and he has agility and pace as well as a good eye for a pass allowing him to weave in and out of defenders and thread passes through to our forwards, I do not think this will happen in any case although I do not mind us sending Kalou, Anelka + 10 million to get Modric
In which world Anelka, Kalou worth more than 20 Million? Spurs have rejected 30 Million bid why will they want your dead wood.. They have better players than both on their bench..
I think Chelsea will make a bigger bid and may sign him on the deadline day.. Transfer market wont be fun without deadline day deals..
