You know the Spanish League will probably be called off in the first week so Courtois could come lol

Anyways, I am hoping Hilario steps up and gives a solid performance, hope to see Lukaku in action against West Brom :)

Yes, but it's not as simple as him getting on a plane, putting on the shirt, playing, then flying back to Madrid.

I am delighted to see Lukaku at Chelsea fc :D Ive wanted him at the club since I found out about him on fm10 and I even wanted Chelsea to sign him in real before I had even seen him in real and only on fm lol :P Would be good to see him play a part in saturdays game.

Here's the vid without you having to click the link ;)

both take one click...;)

apparently, torres scored an amazing overhead kick in training. can't find video. =[

There's no video as far as I'm aware unless the CTV cameras got it and if that's the case I'm sure it will be on Bluse news later.

Possable song for or new number 18 put together by a couple lads i know. Goes to the tune of Agadoo

Romelu, lu, lu, he's the new Drogba, part 2,
Lukaku, ku, ku, Arsenal will hate him too
On the left, on the right
He gives other teams a fright
He's a blue through and through
He came here to beat Man U

How does it feel to be sat here as a Chelsea player?
Amazing. It's a dream come true. I dreamed to play here since I was 10 years old, thinking about shaking hands with all those players like John Terry andFrank Lampard and Didier Drogba, it's amazing to arrive here in a big club with big ambition. It was just what I was searching for.
What made you interested in Chelsea to begin with?
I watched the Premier League since I was nine. Every weekend I watched the games, I used to watch Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scoring goals and remember one against Manchester United, the volley at Old Trafford, and I decided I wanted to support this team.

I remember reading a writer saying he was a Madrid fan, from his reaction/excitement/comments for the past few years...I would suggest he's a Chelsea fan more than anything.

On Courtois (Very nice to hear this looking forward):
I know Thibaut, he is a very good friend of mine and we played against each other since we were 13 years old when he was at Genk and I was in Anderlecht. I remember one game we played we won 4-0 and I scored four times. Sometimes we still laugh about that, but I am happy we are in the same team because he is a very good goalkeeper who is very calm and I hope he will get a good season on loan in Atletico.

I should have put a disclaimer at the bottom, I was in fact dreaming I believe...

Don't expect so much from Sturridge next season, he's not quite 'there' yet for me.

Very disappointing in the Euro's and still relatively unproven, I would be worried if we expect him to win us a title next season. Not ready, couple of years off, his game is still raw.

lol but nearly every English Player plays badly for England... likes of Rooney etc. in the World Cup so I wont be paying too close attention to his performance in the Euro's and I do not think he is that unproven as you think mate, he was amazing for Bolton when he went on loan there and he was pretty useful in the first half of the season when he was with us banging in a respectable 4 goals in 23 appearances, most of which were from the bench I might add..... game is developing very well although his decision making in the final third needs work , against Aston Villa in the Barclays Asia Trophy he was getting into fantastic positions with the ball but then was wasting it by making wrong decisions, he will only become better with quality game time and he missed 2 fabulous chances against Villa too but against Rangers you could see that he was on top of his game

I see no reason why he should not be ahead of the likes of Anelka, Kalou and even Malouda in the pecking order

Hilario vs Turnbull Chelsea records:
Hilario
Starts: 33
Won: 22
Drawn: 8
Lost: 3
Conceded: 30
Clean Sheets: 16

Turnbull
Starts: 6
Won: 2
Drawn: 2
Lost: 2
Conceded: 10
Clean Sheets: 0

Looks like a no brainer to me AVB.

Does anyone remember Hilarios Chelsea debut againt Barca? Imo his best game in a Chelsea shirt he did brilliant especially considering it was his first ever game for the club against exremely tough opponents.

I do indeed, looking at his games in general he has done more good stuff than bad stuff by quite some distance. I think people just look at the class of Cech and rate Hilario against him and thats not fair at all.

Lukaku and Oriol given guard of honour....ish at training today

Chelsea set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Juan Manuel Mata- ESPN Soccernet

Not suprised by reports that we have made another bid, in the region of 27 million apparently as the transfer window is drawing to a close and we desperately need new players so I doubt we will be twiddling our thumbs over transfers now, hopefully we do end up getting him, I can certainly see him in a Chelsea Shirt by August 31st considering that he apparently wants to move to Chelsea and Valencia are in need of cash so they can stabilize their financial position and hopefully Valencia can see that no club will be paying more than 30m for Mata

I doubt 27 is good enough. we should have offered 30. im gonna be mad if we miss out on him because of these 3 mil.

there are reports also telling we are about to offer 30 mil + Yossi for Modric. which is total bull if u ask me. Yossi is a pretty decent player and as ive said before, is one of the keys to make Torres score, when both on the pitch.... So we give em 30 mil + a good player.. I hate when we feed the rivals like that.

They want 30M Euro, which is about £27M.

Don't rule it out. I take it you haven't seen what I've been posting about Yossi? He has some news on his future, although atm he's saying "no news yet". I posted some things that he's said in Hebrew a few pages back that gave the biggest hints that he's leaving, but you can also check out his timeline on Twitter - you'll have to translate a few posts though because they're in Hebrew - Twitter

id rather keep yossi though than give him right to them + 30 mil cash

Yeah we have a good chance if we have actually offered that :) Well that's what it's being reported that Valencia want.

Same really I think he deserves 1 full season, if it was down to me I'd sell him next year to give others a chance. But atm he's a good rotation player.

Apparently the bid is around 29m, thats what I've heard
And tbh, I'd rather have Mata over Modric <)

Bad news, Rajkovic's work permit appeal is not going well.

Ultimate decision to CFC's appeal to the rejection decision will be made late next week, no one is hopeful.

Highly (I mean HIGHLY) unlikely that their will be a huge U turn and he will be granted one, really bad news. Was hoping to finally see him get some game time, I'm sure Andre may now go out and buy a young CB since Kalas is expected to got out on loan to Vitesse.

Alex to Juve/Bayern will surely be put off now until at least January which I'm personally glad about...My only problem with Alex is his injury problems but when he plays he's one of the best CB's in the Prem.

Also De Telegraaf (Weird source for CFC bids) are saying Chelsea have bid 55m euros for Moutinho and Pereira. The 2 targets are very plausible, the 55 million euros for the pair is a tad steep considering it values Pereira at 20m euros.
