He was out of the Porto squad 4 days ago?
I swear I told everyone about it...
Only notable players missing from the 18 man squad was Pereira and Walter.
More likely case is Pereira told Pereira/Da Costa that he wants the move and the negotiations with Chelsea all week with his agent etc makes the move look inevitable so Porto just didn't bring him because he wouldn't be 100% committed.
Also anyone worrying about JM being cup tied or something, Super Cup is exempt from cup tie regulations so any players who play in the Super Cup aren't cup tied if they then move on to another club.

Not really, I knew Super Cup was exempt from cup regulations and Porto qualified automatically for the Champions League
On second thought, anyone saw the Super Cup Game, good game between two sides with similar philisophies although as expected, Barca came out on top with goals from Messi and Fabregas to seasl a comfortable 2-0 win
And hopefully Chelsea face Real Madrid at one point or another this season, that would be a dream tie for tactical enthusiasts no doubt, a clash of two seperate footballing philisophies between two great tactical minds
how can u hope for this.. meeting Jose's club in CL is never good.
meh, we will have to meet a top club if we are to go all the way and I rather we meet Jose's club because that will be an emotional affair for both fans and players and more importantly its the backdrop of the game, clash of two philosphies between two great teams and a classic mentor vs student battle too boot
A Football Lovers Delight!
yea no doubt about all of that but it will be tough no doubt. and im 99% sure Jose will leave as the winner.. maybe the only team can beat him right now is barce. but hey we never know.. anyway, i dont wanna meet him in CL![]()
obviously it will be toughand let me rephrase your last sentence... right now it looks as if only Jose's RM can beat Barca ol
yep.

So no Yossi, Romeu (still probably being given time to recover and get used to England), Kalou, or PvA and Bertrand, but I didn't expect them two to be in the squad.
Mata has been left out.
