i mean from now on.. haha![]()
Ok, I hope you stick to your word because I'm sick of arguments on this thread. Hasn't been much posting on it since the transfer window shut, but before that there was an argument pretty much everyday.

Whats up with all the ******** in here, no need for it at all. Yes the lad proberly shouldnt have posted the Torres miss but thats down to him and shows how pathetic he really is. Lets just not rise to it and actually debate the things we need to do which is sort our our backline.
which is sort our our backline.
The main problem in the first half for me was that we were seeing Cole and Bosingwa getting skinned or drawn inside way too often. It's all very well playing a 4-3-3 with 2 defensively capable players squeezing the middle, but you've got to keep the flanks tight too.
i thought Nani absolutely rapped him from start to finish.
Bosingwa defensivly is always out of position and the number of times Young was unmarked in acres of space was a joke. Something needs to be worked on.
Couldn't agree more mate.
It's a bit tricky when you play a 4-3-3/4-5-1 and your wide forwards don't track back. Mata seemed to drop back into midfield to contest the ball but Sturridge just played like a striker. That left us with a massive hole on the right side and Bosingwa seemed torn between filling it and covering his own space. In the end, he did neither very well and we got ******* smashed down the sides.
In theory, we should have had an advantage in CM but Rooney dropped deep and it just ended up being 3v3 with united having an extra man on the wings.
I don't know if that made any sense so here's a picture I made in paint

On the left (in theyellow) you can see mata is dropping deeper and contesting the ball, preventing Smalling/Valencia from getting forward too often. That in turnleaves a 1v1 with Cole vs Nani. Sadly for us, Ashley didn't cope verywell with the fact that Nani is 2 footed and can cut inside.
In the middle we cansee Rooney dropping into Midfield and making it 3v3.
On the right we can seeSturridge playing high up and not really tracking back. Because ofthat Evra is able to get forward a fair bit, so Young can cut inside, and a fair bit of the time his fullback is going to produce anoverlapping run. Bosingwa was basically 2v1 with a lot of space infront of him so he pushed up, leaving space behind that Brana had todrift towards but, as he can't outright cover the position, we're leftin a bit of a sticky situation. As Ivanovich goes wide, space opensup for Hernandez to receive a drilled cross and suddenly United are back to being threatening from the middle again, something the 4-3-3 is meant to stop.
I'm in upper shed on Wednesday, what sort of team do you reckon Chelsea will put out?
Would prefer to see Josh playing instead of Lampard.
Well a mixture of youth and expirience i would hope. I predicted the team for the Utd game and got 1 player wrong, i picked Anelka insted of Sturridge so i will try and predict Wednesdays side.
Cech
Ferreira
Luiz
Alex
Bertrand
Oriol
Lampard
Mikel
Malouda
Sturridge
Lukaku
Thats more of the side i would proberly play but AVB has said he wants to win everything so maybe we will see more first team regulars than that.
20mil for Ross Barkley? thoughts? aint seen much of him

heres a video.. looks like hes got some talent.
I think I can help you there, my dad is and always will be a massive Evertonian so I go to Goodison 3/4 times a year and keep an eye on the Toffees throughout the season.
Barkley is a massive talent but will he need serious play time and investment to reach his potential. It will be such a waste if we buy him, give him 2/3 games a season and then leave him to rot away in our reserves. I've got to say, I think he's better off staying at Everton until he's 18/19 and benefiting from first team football and an outstanding youth program. When he's started to hone his skills, build confidence and show he can be consistent, he should move on to a bigger club.
If we look Mc Josh, he's obviously a player that needs to get some more experience under his belt but is kind of already on the path he wants to go down. He's calm in possession, got a great first touch and quick accurate passing. He looks destined to be a Modric type playmaker someone who doesn't (generally) score goals, but sits deeper and dictates the flow of the game. Barkley is a bit like Rodwell in that he's very well rounded but he runs the risk of becoming a jack of all trades, master of none. He's a good passer but he can be a little slow on the ball, he overhits crosses/passes fairly often and his timing is a little off sometimes.
He's 17 so all that can be straightened out but I feel like he needs to be played regularly in the same role so he can specialise a bit more. All in all, a fantastic player and I think Moyes would probably let him go for about £12m so he can actually buy some new players. Anything more than that is madness because he's yet to really prove himself.
I've heard Everton will sell for £15M, and as far as I'm aware; he's only been linked with United so far. Infact, we apparently bid £11M for him in August...
Keep your hands off.
but then we will face more competition in signing him as United are keeping an eye on him and maybe other big clubs will join the bidding. so if he is a big talent i say buy him january.. nothing to lose actually..
