Villas-Boas said:
"Very, very unhappy with a poor performance from the referees, which in the end had a decisive role in the result, and I don't take it very, very lightly.

"You expect the linesman to do his job. I already went further ahead with the situation by speaking to the correct people.

"We all feel very, very down when the referee had such an impact on the result."

Wonder what will FA do for this. Whom did he talk to? Any idea Jacko?

Apparently he spoke to cheif of refs Mike Riley, as did Dalglish after their defeat against Stoke. Big managers and clubs putting alot of pressure on these people can only help in the long run i think.

How will it help as no one is doing intentionally. Only way is introducing technology which I dont see happening any time soon.

Well the more people push the quicker something will be done about it.

but then we will face more competition in signing him as United are keeping an eye on him and maybe other big clubs will join the bidding. so if he is a big talent i say buy him january.. nothing to lose actually..

Oh yeah, from our point of view we should snap him up ASAP, but I honestly think the best thing for him is to stay put for a little bit.

Better still, buy him in January and loan him back to Everton for a year or a year and a half.

This is the best option I think. If we can get him, then send him back on an incentivised loan so Everton get bonuses for him making first team appearances, goals, assists etc. That way Everton have a good reason to keep giving him a fair bit of attention and we get a good player our of it at the end.

Right, about Barkley. I posted this last night and was pretty narked to say the least. So I think I speak on behalf of all Everton fans when I utter these words

KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF!!!!

This is the last thing we need. This coming out in the press, and maybe getting his head turned. Getting to the point now where I'm getting peeved. We develop and nurture a raw talent, and as per usual we lose him the same or following season. You'll have a **** of a fight trying to get him believe me. And £15 million will not be enought. £20 million at least

Fair enough, how would you like that to be paid. Cash? Cheque?. Roman will just go fetch it out of his sock draw lol.

We value Studger at around 20mill lol

Thing is, if it ever became a cash+swap (hypothetically speaking), you'd lose Sturridge, but you'd be gaining the next Steven Gerrard. Believe me, this boy is going to be an international. He can create, pass, and has a wicked shot. There's a reason in the games he played, why the senior players looked to give him the ball.

I have seen bits and bobs of him and he does look like a real special talent.

To be honest, if he gets enough games in next couple of seasons, he will be better than Rodwell. Very composed, unfazed by anything. Such a rare thing to see in such a young age.

How would you feel about the idea of us buying him in Jan and loaning him back until Summer 2013, with incentives? That way you get to keep him for another year and a half, any work you put into him won't be wasted and Moyes gets some much needed cash.

Do you seem him being a Gerrard? I saw him playing the passing role in a 4-5-1 rather than the creator.

If he keeps developing at this rate, he is going to be a real star. I'd snap him up at United in a heartbeat

Definately a new Gerrard in the making. He can basically do what Steven does already. Obviously not at the same level yet, but once he reaches his full potential, he will definately be an England regular. As long as he's not overplayed so to avoid niggling injuries that hampered Rodwell last time.

To be honest we must keep him. He's the sort of player that in a few seasons we can build a team around. He pretty much filled the hole left by Arteta already.

And not to mention too, with his shooting, he could also play just behind an attacker too. He does have a good shot on him I must say.

what cjacko said. buy him and send him back on loan for a season and a half ot two? why not :)

Today on a Chelsea facebook page I am a "foreign ****", " a city fan" and football apparently isn't for me and I shouldn't watch it because I do not find he munich air crash funny or I am not glad that it happened. Seriously I hate some Chelsea fans.

There's tossers at every club, just don't bother with them. According to someone on the Chelsea forums a few years back I was a "traitor" because I said I'd rather have Fabregas than Deco.

Anyway I was having a look at the chalkboards for Sunday's game and 3 things stuck out to me.

- Mata had the most passes of players on the pitch (86% successful passes)
- Lampard may have more time left in him if he takes on a deep lying role. He finished the first half with 95% successful passes and he generally played a possession retention game (almost all square balls or very short passes forward)
- If we're going off the standard 4-3-3 midfield trio (destroyer, creator, passer) Ramires is a bit of a weird one. We saw him going forward a lot and arriving in the box late yet the majority of creative passes forward came from Mata.

Nice to see Josh looking a lot more comfortable on camera now! Although he seems to have forgotten we signed Meireles...can't really blame him though because he was put on the spot a bit there.
