Considering a ref is definitely a valid decision, mainly because you know certain refs are card happy and certain refs like to avoid controversy. You can't send your team out to play a physical game if you know the ref books at even the slightest hint of heavy contact

The only way officials will be able to get things right is with some form of help. Like the Sunderland match (or it was the Stoke match-def one of those two). There was a decision that should've been offside that wasn't because there were so many bodies in the box-not to mention players running in from onside decisions. They need help. Humans can only do so much
I think we all agree on that, but sometimes it's the decisions that are ridiculous. Stupid bookings or red cards, offside calls when the player who is offside is doing **** all, players pulling each other's shirts inside the box, stuff like that.

Doesn't really help though when they're not allowed to explain their decisions either

Agreed, but sometimes I don't think there's much to explain. At least not anything rational.

Mebbey U shud do a Howard Webb thread somewhere and discuss it there as what Ive read, this has nothing to do with Chelsea.

No word of a lie but a lad who started a Chelsea group on Facebook just posted this.
xavi has just been spotted up the fulham broadway, wonder could he be the suprise signing.

Seriously how stupid can people be.

According to another FB page Cavani tonight boarded a plane which is heading for London XD

Michael Ballack is a legend who has become a pariah at Bayer Leverkusen – a club who are now desperate to sell him

Sad too see this happening; Ballack has been a god amongst men throughout his career and now things are coming to an end, he is unable to face what he sees as the humiliation of stepping down. I'm posting this not just because Michael is an ex Chelsea player but because I think his attitude and determination are so characteristic of a lot of the old Mourinho squad. They were champions, and it's natural for them to still see themselves in a flattering way. I feel no sympathy for players like Bendtner who think they're better than they are but there's something really tragic about these players desperately trying to believe that they're as good as they once were. What's worse is that they get the ocassional flash of their old brilliance- Drogba vs Valencia for example- and you can tell that they cling to those performances, that those kind of games give them a little flicked of false hope.

I don't know why I'm posting this or why you should even care but I genuinely feel sad for them. They were all true blues, true Chelsea lions, and there's nothing more tragic than seeing a lions stipped of their pride and glory, pushed to the edges of their pack waiting, with their heads held high, for inevitable death.

Torres bad luck runs out tonight, hat trick... Optimism is a wonderful thing!

Milan Lalkovic just tweeted: Loan move nearly done for me just waiting for papers at the club#cfcfans

Going to Den Haag it seems. I'm glad for him; he's one of our top talents and really has a chance of making a breakthrough into the first team imo.

Starting line-up:
Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cole, Meireles, Romeu, Malouda, Sturridge, Torres, Mata

Piazon is on the bench as expected.

Pia Pia Pia zon Piazon Piazon. Hope he gets 10mins

Seems as though Patrick Bamford will join. Can't say I've seen him, so I'll just have to trust the scouts on this one.

This isn't a bad goal though:

Torres to score 2; David Luiz just did his ritual (prayer/blessing/w/e you want to call it) 'thing' to him.
