He already has one balancing act with the old players, while fighting for 4th. It cant all happen at once. This is why one season isnt enough

But next season he is going to have to bed them in anyway so surely it makes sense doing it abit this season or next season could be even worse in terms of league position.

At what point did i say kids? Or about putting 11 kids on the pitch. If you stopped putting words in my mouth, you'd see its not about being hopeful. Chelsea would still have a good core in the side, from Cech upwards. Drogba and Essien are two would i would keep. Drogba is the only one of the old guard, who seems to care without showing his ego. Im talking about about bringing in 3-4 22-24 year olds, and mixing them with the likes of Piazon/Bertand next season, alongside a core of Essien, Ramires, Mata, Brana, Cole, Luiz etc.

Come on Mike, you know what I mean, no need to go defensive here. You're talking about selling a bunch of old players, and while I can agree with some (Malouda, Ferreira, Bosingwa, etc.), I don't think selling the likes of Terry and Lampard and replacing them with some random 20 y/o prospect (Because I don't think a 22-24 year old player would give up the chance of CL football unless you do offer him a bigger paycheck) with not much experience is going to help. Change should be far more gradual than this, and I don't see the current crop of youngsters being played enough to ease them into the starting XI.

But they would have had more training and preparation, the loan players would have had more game time etc. Timing is key with youth.

AVB hasnt been perfect, but he is doing the right things, and they all need time. Chelsea fans need to learn patience.

Players like Griezmann (Sociedad are willing to listen to offers between 15 to 20m) are the kind of targets out there. Not every player is 25m and wants 100k a week. And we both know just how good he would be for you guys

And that is exacly my problem with AVB. The lads we have should be good enough in the future but they need more chances in the first team otherwise they will just fade away or we will lose them like other past youth players i.e Stoch and Borini.

Didn't know where to put this, but since there's been rumours of him off to Chelsea I figured I'd put it here. Guus Hiddink appointed manager of Anzhi

Not every 22-24 is playing CL footy, for one thing, so the random 20 year old prospect idea is a bit off. Not every players needs immediate football, some are just looking for a step up.

Not going the youth again, as ive made this point about a dozen times

I loved Borini, broke my heart when you guys let him go. Banging them in like there's no tomorrow for Roma now.

I don't think you can say we need to learn patience when we went 27 years without a trophy. If not given game time they will get annoyed and move on like Borini, Tore and Stoch who we have really missed out on now.

7th time its been said lol, but fair play to him and if anyone will being them success it will be him.

I made my points, frankly sacking him is a good thing as far as United are concerned, Chelsea will continue bumble along till they are left with a bunch of 34 year olds and no plan

You're talking about replacing him after less than a season, so yeah learn patience. This is something that will take 2-3 years

Never said they did? My point is it's going to be hard for Chelsea to land their targets if another club offers them CL football. Players like, say, Hazard, the aforementioned Eriksen, most likely Griezmann as well, are all being tracked by clubs that can indeed offer them CL football. And it's not only the chance of CL football, but the chance to fight for titles and so on.

I want someone in charge for a longer period i really do. But he hasen't done enough for me to prove he is the right man for this job.

Got 8 appearences for Chelsea, don't blame him for wanting to leave.

I think he scored 6 in 9 starts for Roma. Honestly I think him and Töre would be in or around your starting XI right now.

You guys know he's on loan right?

And that he has Totti and Pjanic (why the **** didn't we go for him, he was under 10m in the summer iirc) feeding him. Call me cynical but if Borini was here I doubt he'd be getting that many more goals than anyone else because we have 1 creative outlet, who we also force to track back and play wide...
