It won't skip ahead. Go to 00:50 to see what I mean.

I love this video, it's a classic. Plus I hate Martin Lipton; he thinks he knows it all.

I frankly agree with Mike.

Jacko, I do agree with you to a small extent that AVB might not be the right man to oversee this season of transition because I just feel that if it was someone like Mourinho or Hiddink doing the job it will be that much more smoother however as Mike said AVB has done well despite the odds and although he has not been perfect, he has done enough

This is what I feel Chelsea and AVB need to do over the next few years...

1) Get into the Top 4 at all costs this season. The prospect of Champions League Football will make our job so much easier over the summer and ensure that our finances do not take a major hit just when things are looking up for them

2) Over the summer, Roman and AVB sit down and hash out a long-term plan for the next 3-5 years with the aim of sustained success over a period of time whilst ensuring the club is financially stable. Make it so that whenever players from Chelsea retire then a new group of players are ready to take their place who are complemented with smart astute buys which do not constitute large fees

In other words replicate the model SAF brought to Manchester United, nothing greater than it in the world

3) In the short-term, Roman backs AVB this summer allowing him to do business as he sees fit so as to reduce the player age gap and get in the right kind of team to play his system.

Players like Hazard and Willian will cost money but at the same time they will ensure our team will be in the reckoning for a top 3 finish next year. Someone like Griezmann will go a long way in strengthening our squad depth something which we have lacked this season. These players will form part of our first cycle of players.

The aim as I said earlier is to ensure that as one cycle of players retire, another cycle are fit and ready to take their place. Right now our problem is that there are a cycle of players who are not good enough but we do not have a cycle of players who are ready to take their place. In order to fill this gap, we need to spend big in the summer we have no choice.

But hopefully it will be the last summer where we have to do a total overhaul of the squad. As I said, AVB needs to study how SAF has run his team over the past decade, success after success every season whilst ensuring his squad does not stagnate by making constant refinements every season with a long-term objective.

Some of you say that instead of spending big this summer we might as well be patient and wait another 3-4 years but look at what happened to Arsenal, as soon as they decided they will adopt a conservative model in the hope that it might breed long-term success the players became dillusioned and left due to trophyless seasons. We cannot make the same mistake.

Roman has a tough job on his hands no doubt created due to his short-sightedness but if he has any sense he will back AVB

Think Islam Feruz has a great future ahead of him, absolutely killed West Ham in the FA Youth Cup and probably should have gotten a hat-trick. Piazon and Feruz have developed a excellent understanding.

Feruz still has some way to go before he is considered for a first-team debut although it looks like Piazon will be playing a useful part in our campaign next season particularly as he will not be eligible for Youth Team Football next season

Also another name to watch is Adam Nditi, he is largely like Zhirkov in the sense that he can play anywhere down the left and AVB said he has high hopes for Adam

It will be interesting to see how Chelsea manage the development of Courtois particularly with all the rumours going around that Cech will not last long at the top. Courtois is killing it in Spain where he has kept a clean sheet for the last six games so its not impossible that he may be our No. 1 next season although I highly doubt it.

Also I do not really understand how the club is going to develop De Bruyne. Belgian Pundit John Chapman says he will be sent out on loan next season to a PLM club although I am not sure whether that is the best course for him. Perhaps it will be better if he stays with us next season.

Also new signing Patrick Bamford scored 2 goals for us versus Gillingham First-Team, not sure how big a part he will play next season or even if he will be at the club. He could be sent out on loan which looks the better option.

Josh McEachran has had a tidy loan spell at Swansea so far although I still feel it will be better if he is allowed to play for the Swans for another six months at least. I really doubt he will get any significant game time next season particularly if we move towards a 4-2-3-1 and succeed in getting in the likes of Hazard, Willian, Griezmann etc.

I think we can most rule out any hope of seeing PVA and Kakuta playing a major part next season particularly as both of them failed to establish themselves at Wigan or Bolton respectively and now are at Vitesse and Djion. They may be given a second chance at a loan spell next season but if that fails then I feel its better if we sell them and move on.

Kalas is a name to watch next season. He has had a fantastic loan spell at Vitesse so he could be someone who could be given an opportunity to show what he can do in Chelsea colours next season

good solid squad out today, Cech, Brana, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand, Ramires, Mikel, Meireles, Mata, Sturridge and Torres. Bench looks like Hilaro, Bosingwa, Essien, Lampard, Malouda, Kalou and Drogba. A bit annoyed that there is no Lukaku but it is a strong squad.

It would be either Lukaku or Drogba.

And if he is thinking about "his" future it should be Lukaku, especially against a side in a division lower.

This is a side taking the game very seriously, Lukaku will get his time. Even he knew this signing for Chelsea, rather that having a pop at AVB.

Maybe if one of our strikers were on form i would agree but they haven't been this season.

"You're getting sacked in the morning. Sacked in the morrrrningggg" - Stamford Bridge 18/02/12

Wasnt even a bad penalty. Very good save. Right now the players are not even doing the basics right

Got to say that Houghton is doing a great job at Birmingham, great job. Only 6 points (I think) off the top of the Championship, getting the best out of his players, great man-management ability-the fact he isn't managing in the Prem right now is a travesty. Looking forward to seeing him back in the Prem next season.

[h=6]AVB should Cech the scoreline, the're Luizing 1-0, and playing Terryble, Chelsea what's the Mata?[/h]

Agree with the rest, but IMO, it would be absolutely stupid to sell PvA. He has so much potential and is already a very good LB, and he's better than Bertrand IMO, though I do like Ryan. As for Kakuta - I'm not sure - he has talent, but it's whether or not he can be the player everyone thought he would be, I don't know.

As for Feruz; he's been playing really well, but I just hope he isn't trouble off the field. If you read through his tweets you'll probably see what I mean. https://twitter.com/#!/feruz10

PVA has potential but its of no use if he cannot fulfill it, Kakuta has done fairy well at Djion but I doubt he will be playing a big part next season.

Also if AVB does get the sack, who will you all like to see at the helm?

Mourinho? Benitez? Capello?

My personal favourite would be Unai Emery, has done wonders with Valencia on a tight budget whilst getting the best out of the likes of Soldado and I think he will be world-class if he is given money to spend in the transfer market. A very tactically astute manager who commands the respect of his players
