I don't want to take anything away from Napoli but to me they seem overrated, apart from the Lavezzi goal they didn't produce anything without the help of defensive errors. Obviously its down to them to capitalise on those chances but I wasn't blown away by their attack like everyone says.

2-0 at the Bridge shouldn't be too hard although I'd expect Napoli to score at least one. Interesting tie.

The only goal you produced was from a massive defensive error.

Granted but this season we arn't being praised for our top attacking play like Napoli..

If you mean them being touted as "the second highest scorers in Serie A"... Well, they scored 3 against you. And if you don't think they were attacking you must be blind.. Just as many shots if not more than Chelsea.

Lavezzi got in time and again. The big problem for Chelsea is that Napoli are normally better away. They prefer to counter, rather than be the team doing the controlling. Chelsea will have to come forward at home, and that plays into their hands

******* appalling defending

Dreadful, doesn't matter about selection, that was basic errors that shouldnt have occured. My only questionwas Essien not starting, since Cole got on anyway

Thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't aware.

Seems so, as you claim 'beating them 2-0 shouldn't be hard'. Hello, you've been **** at home, with over half of your goals being conceded at home. You couldn't even beat Birmingham at home. You'd do well to start respecting other teams, particularly when you've just been outplayed by them.

Agreed, I would've taken Essien or even Lampard over Meireles any day of the week.

That's my only issue, despite all the rambling from Redknapp. Merieles was a non event today, complete non event

Jamie Redknapp, Lampard gets forward more than all of other mids, he would have been a terrible choice. Essien should have started though. Souness is right on that part

I didn't say that. When they were attacking they didn't live up to their reputation is what I'm saying, lets not put words into each others mouths huh?

Didn't think we were outplayed, they played to their tactics and we fell right into it. We kept the ball and played reasonably well in the second half, could/should (depending on who you support) of been 3-2.

I respect teams. I said Napoli will probably score at home and are a good side but maybe a tad overrated in terms of attacking threat, opinions obviously aren't valid unless your own.

Also, to make it perfectly clear:

Really? If anything I'd say Napoli came closer to getting a fourth than anything else (See Cole clearing the ball right off the line, for instance). And I support neither side, as a matter of fact I'd be happy to see Chelsea go through, the more games you have to play the better chance we have of beating you should our paths cross in the FA cup.

Saying you could easily beat them 2-0 isn't exactly 'respecting' your opposition, but quite the opposite, particularly considering the way things are going. And of course you are entitled to an opinion, nobody claimed otherwise, but that doesn't mean your views have to be shared.

Well to say they didn't live up to their attacking reputation is stupid.. They attacked, even at 3-1 up they were still going for it and were unlucky not to be 4-1 up. They definitely gave Chelsea a lesson in how to attack, especially from the right wing.

Also, you were outplayed today, not that it was particularly difficult. You're right, though, it could have been 3-2 it could also have been 4-1.

Also, if you think people are "over-rating" an attack of Hamsik-Cavani-Lavezzi then, well, I feel sorry for you.

Obviously my points are being misunderstood with the result overshadowing the play. You win.

Napoli will be especially dangerous away against Chelsea, they've been much better away than at home this year in Serie A. Be wary of that counter attack- Hamsik, Lavezzi, Cavani= Deadly.

not looking like a good champions league year for England :/
