I think we should go for Muniain. I've never realized how good he is, till last night.

Muniain has been hyped for a while now, mainly because you can make him incredible in FM if you focus his training.

IMO, he needs another year before he's good enough to perform consistently for a top level club and we don't have the time to get him there. With Lukaku we had to go in before he was ready because he needed to be trained as a more complete striker; Anderlecht were just using him as a battering ram.

He would be a great purchase if we spend an absolute ton in the summer but I think a top quality striker, a right back and left winger/creative central midfielder have to be our priority.

our priorities have been the same for the last 3-4 transfer windows. you are right though, either a left winger and Mata goes ACM/#10, or Mata stays left and we go for a #10. The new manager will have different ideas for sure, it will be no surprise if we go for a striker too. It depends on who our next manager is. BTW, I like Bielsa a lot, even though he is a weirdo.

I heard Jose Mourinho said at a Press Conference that he will be signing a new contract at Real Madrid, oh joy :(

Really wonder who Roman is looking at for next season, our choices are very limited and whoever comes will have to do a squad overhaul one way or another

To be fair Roman has completely killed his options for a new coach as the front runners wouldnt take the job. Anyone who thinks Pep or Jose woud join this Chelsea team right now and turn their back on Barca or Real is deluded. It's going to have to be a coach who is motivated by money in the short term, as Chelsea needs to move on the old players and start from scratch and likely won't win an ECL for a while, which is what the top coaches want.

Klopp will probably win the Bundesliga again this season, so will he be a good choice? Reports in Germany saying he will be the new Bayern coach? Thoughts? Im running out of options, curious what options Roman has. Emery is another choice, but will he leave Valencia?

John Terry returns to the starting line up with David Luiz making way.
Ashley also resumes at left-back and Frank Lampard takes the place of Juan Mata. Didier Drogba will lead the attack.
Stoke leave out Peter Crouch in favour of Kenwyne Jones and bring in Salif Daio on the wing with Matthew Etherington not involved. Right-back Andy Wilkinson has been passed fit and Rory Delap returns from injury on the bench.
Chelsea will line-up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:
1 Petr Cech
2 Branislav Ivanovic
24 Gary Cahill
26 John Terry (c)
3 Ashley Cole
12 John Mikel Obi
16 Raul Meireles
7 Ramires
8 Frank Lampard
21 Salomon Kalou
11 Didier Drogba

Subs: 22 Ross Turnbull, 4 David Luiz, 5 Michael Essien, 6 Oriol Romeu, 10 Juan Mata, 23 Daniel Sturridge, 9 Fernando Torres.

Stoke are expected to line up in the following 4-4-2 formation:

Begovic; Wilkinson, Shawcross (c), Huth, Wilson; Shotton, Whelan, Whitehead, Diao; Walters, Jones.

Subs: Sorensen, Upson, Delap, Pennant, Palacios, Jerome, Crouch.

The referee is Andre Marriner.

Wow that's an uninspiring lineup.

What formation are we playing, 4-3-1-2? o.O

---------Obi---Raul---------
Ramires----Frankie-----Kalou
-----------Drogba----------

I assume.

I've got some good and bad news for Chelsea fans concerning your up coming match with Napoli. The good news for you is that they leaked 3 goals today. The bad news is that they scored 6...

Mata (who has been having a pretty bad day at the office) sets Drogba.

1-0

2:0 di Matteo.

Important win for us, much needed, a win against Stoke feels like a win against a top4 side. Always tough.

It was an important win for us in any circumstance even though it came slightly late. Stoke went one man down and pretty much decided to shut down shop which made it harder for us. Either way the win was important because we need to build up a sequence of good results, something we have not had since the early part of the season.

Some of the negatives was our performance after the goal, especially that 5-10 min or so where we repeatedly gave the ball way in our own final third. If we do it now its still fine because its Cameron Jerome who will be on 1 on 1 with Cahill. If we do it against Napoli then its Cavani vs Cahill and we all know how that will turn out.

Point is we cannot give the ball away like that against Napoli because they will rip us to shreds. It was a great goal by Drogba though, a glimpse of his old self with that sublime finish.

Also Mourinho never said that he was going to sign a new contract with Real Madrid. It was a complete bogus story by the Mail and this was confirmed by a Sid Lowe tweet. What makes me angry is that its not even quotes that were taken out of context, they were completely fabricated. Journalism actually has reached new lows.
